She looked at the tall skyscrapers, the massive metropolis before her, outside the apartment window where she would be staying. It was the first time she had visited this city. 

The place seemed to be expansive and more progressive than her hometown. And she recently learned from Isaac that Adam had pioneered its growth. He had been the one who had helped this town grow into one of the most developed cities in the world.

However, Avana was not surprised by his success since he had lived for centuries. His experience with how the world worked must be extensive. He must have known most of the tricks in the book, making it easy for him to create this empire.

"How do you like the place?" Adam asked as he stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. He also looked outside, following where she was looking. "I know it might not be your style, but you are welcome to change whatever you want to replace."
