CLXII

Adam and Avana decided to spend the entire day with their respective families. She would bond with her mom and sister while he took Cathy and Kiev with him outside.

He said that Cathy and Kiev were more family to him than his father would ever be. Maybe he was right. Being part of a family did not require blood relations. It was more about respect, honor, care, and love.

They also knew they needed time apart to be with their families because, after the wedding, they might be too busy with other things. Besides, they needed space from each other so they could think clearly.

"Hey, do I need to be here? I want to go with Kiev instead." Resha moved closer to Mara, begging her mother to allow her to go with her friend to the mall. "Please, Mom. Let me go with them."
