I know this love is doomed

'I have already developed a taste for his blood. If I keep feeding from him like I have been, I know I won't be able to drink from anyone else ever again.' If she told Toh those thoughts, he would probably tell her that's fine, because he won't be breaking up with her. 

'Me too, I don't want to let him go.'

But, Sumire understood how naive those thoughts were. After all they are both members of the underworld. No matter how much either of them fools themselves, they cannot live a normal life.

"Beautiful? I think you should drink from me now."

"I-I just-"

Toh exhales deeply. "Please do this for your health." He trails off. "If you are worried about people coming by, I can use my abilities to keep them away."

'I wasn't even thinking that.' Sumire nodded.

She hesitantly wraps her arms around Toh's neck and brushes her lips on his neck.

Sumire felt the steady sound of her heart beat increase and the warmth of her face. But, she shook her head and bit him. She started off slowly, not wanting to hurt him like she did the other day. Toh kept a straight face, but she knew she took it too far since he slept in. Normally he would wake up before her.

Another issue drinking from Toh is, for some reason she can read his thoughts stronger than when she drank from Aki. She is no stranger from drinking blood. Although she only ever drank from Aki-san directly before. Drinking from Mashima Toh is different.

'Why is everything different with this person?'

During the entire time she drank from Toh, Sumire made note of the little things he did to make her comfortable. The hand he ran down her back, which would occasionally move to squeeze her hands and thighs. The light kisses on her face.

He really is too good.

'But, that is exactly why. I need to find out exactly what organisation he belongs to. In order for us to properly have a future together. I'm sorry Yuhi, but, I can't just leave this person. If the time comes and you do come for me, we will see what happens. However, right now I can't leave Toh.'

If Toh learned that Yuhi had been sending her messages, an invite to Tokyo with a message that said he found the solution to their problems. How would he react?

She doesn't even have to ask.

It would hurt him.

At the beginning of this relationship, both of them remain fairly detached to each other. But, at one point that changed. 'I thought I was the only one relying on him too much, but I can tell when I look into his eyes and when he holds me-'

Her thoughts break off seeing Toh staring at her lips.

Sumire giggled and stopped drinking as she leaned forward. "Kiss me please?"

"Always." And he kisses her, with so much love that it makes her eyes water.

'This can't continue forever. I have been avoiding finding out the truth for so long. The truth of his identity. Mashima Toh, is everything I have ever wanted.'

But, there is no doubt he is the enemy. He might be part of an organisation that doesn't fall under the Holy knights jurisdiction. Or a group that has ill will towards them. Otherwise he would have come clean.

'I know this love is doomed, but for now, just a bit longer. I want to be with this person.'

HIJIRI

"Jian-sama, welcome back."

Hijiri gave a friendly smile to the girl who greeted him, earning a giggle from her and her friends. He quickly excused himself not wanting to linger. 'I have been absent for half a year. I want to see Sumire. Although, I received reports while I was abroad. It's not enough. I want to see her.'

During his absence, many issues popped up. 

Lucifer speeding up their plans.

But, his main concern was Sumire getting a boyfriend.

'I thought after what happened with Nagawa Sano, she would stay away from love for a while. Rather her dating Nagawa Sano damaged my plans. Thankfully, Nagawa was easy to manipulate. All it took was spreading some lies to his grandmother, that led to the friction between the two.'

Nagawa Sano is simple person to deal with.

"Where's Sumire?" Hijiri asked as he tapped Nao's shoulder.

"I wouldn't go over right now."

"She's with her boyfriend?" Hijiri immediately understood. 

"Hey Hijiri, don't you think the princess really likes Mashima?"

"What brought this on?"

"I mean, look at that." Nao said with a shrug.

Hijiri glanced over to see Sumire hiding behind the lockers and peeking.

Mashima was there at the entrance leaning against the pillar.

He was simply standing there but Sumire was looking at him with flushed cheeks. 

"I've never seen her act like that way, with anyone other than Terashima."

"I was thinking of treating everyone since I'm back, will you let them know?"

Nao paused and nodded. "Right, the three of us also needs to catch up." 

With those words, he watched his friend leave and turned his attention back to Sumire and her boyfriend. 

'I thought it was someone with a similar name. Because there is no way Lucifer would allow such a thing. But, it seems Lucifer is keeping secrets of his own.'

There is no doubt Lucifer doesn't know the identity of the person Mashima is dating. This might even be part of his plan. Over the years Lucifer has assigned Mashima jobs that involve seducing women. Is Sumire part of that too? 

'It wouldn't surprise me if Lucifer assigned Mashima a job that involved seducing Sumire. After all, I know better than anyone the darkness in his heart.'

Still, what exactly is he thinking? 

How can he not consult with him over this? Moreover his recent actions, have caught the attention of the Holy knights. What happened to being low key, until Sumire was safely on their side? Perhaps he shouldn't have headed to school, but the organisation first.
