"As expected by Angeal," Lilith mumbled to herself as she made the comment. "Really writing it from experience really does help make it more interesting and authentic."
She clicked the "add to library" button again, suddenly surprised with Sicily barging in the library to announce something to Lilith.
"Let's go to the throne room—right now!"
"Why? What's wrong?" Lilith asked, furrowing her brows together.
"Amon. He's back."
"Amon..."
Lilith knew who he is. Lilith remembered who he is.
It was that man with a cow head mask.
"So... he's here."
Lilith ruffled the cloth of her oversized shirt. Even though she lives in a kingdom, she found more comfort in wearing clothes that are of the modern world.
Well, she believed that it has better style than what the kingdom is wearing. To be honest, she found it old-fashioned that even though they are in the modern time already, the kingdoms tend to stick on dresses and all.
Maybe it's because they are in a formal setting?
She found it funny as well that behind closed doors, they wear more comfortable clothes for resting. Well, not that she has anything against it. It is indeed for rest. But Lilith prefers that it's for comfort, why not use it all throughout, right?
Well... maybe their ways and the culture that they still carry.
"Yes, he's here. And we have to greet him."
Lilith cocked her head to the side, wondering why they have to greet him.
"Why? I know that he was taken care of by Eucraick and the king... but it's the same for me. Why should we greet him?"
"I..."
Sicily bit her bottom lip and stared at Lilith. She exactly knew why Lilith had to make her appearance in the throne room.
It's because her savior had finally gone home after 19 years, but Lilith doesn't know that.
Lilith doesn't know that it was Amon who saved her life. Only King Blanc, Eucraick, their family (except the children) and Sicily knew that the Grim Reaper saved her.
Sicily was completely rooted to the floor silent because she knew that it was not her place to speak about it.
"Just... prepare."
"Oh? Why?"
Lilith furrowed her brows, not liking that she is being told to dress into something different because of the appearance of a stranger.
"I know that he is family to the kingdom, but I don't know him. I only saw him once when I was a child. I don't even remember him much. Why must I prepare myself? I'm not that significant."
"Lilith—"
"Sicily, you know me," Lilith interrupted, letting out a sigh. "I'm learning so I could be like the secretary of the king's adviser, but meeting this Amon? Why? I have no connection with him."
"Lilith."
Sicily sighed. She knew that she raised Lilith to be outspoken so she won't get underestimated. She knew that she would stand up for herself and would further express her discomforts for her to be understood.
Now that it has come to this, however, it is better if she knew it from the person who can explain her situation and her connection to Amon.
'It is not my place,' Sicily thought to herself, letting out another sigh as she wanted to talk to Lilith one more time to convince her. 'It's better if she knows from Amon or the king, or his adviser.'
"Lilith, dear..." her approach this time was gentler, full of patience. "Let's get you changed."
"Sicily—"
"Lilith... it's important. You and Amon—you have a connection. That is the only thing that I could say."
And this immediately shut Lilith up. With her hearing this suddenly from her mother figure, she blinked her eyes a few times, now curious.
"What?"
"I am in no position to say," Sicily replied, shaking her head as she let out yet another sigh. "It's better if the king, his adviser, or Amon himself will tell you. But for now, be patient. You have to understand that you have to present yourself."
Lilith furrowed her brows together. She only remembered a few distinctive features about Amon since they only met once and then no more. She only remembered him wearing a mask and then no other distinctive features came to mind.
"How am I connected to him?" Lilith mumbled, enough for Lilith to hear. "He's my relative?"
"No," Sicily answered, now approaching Lilith. She then put her hand on her shoulder. "Come on. Let's prepare. You have to wear one of your best dresses—the one you love."
"Oh!"
Before Lilith could even say a word, Sicily already caught her wrist and pulled her with her to the bathroom, already preparing for their appearance in the throne room.

"I already called for her to appear," Eucraick said, making Amon look at him through his mask.
By "her", he already knew what the king's adviser meant.
"That is unnecessary. Why call for her?"
Eucraick shrugged. "You two hadn't seen each other for 19 years. She's 22 now. With your letter saying that we shouldn't let her out, we think that there is something amiss. Right?"
"Well, yes," Amon said, letting out a sigh as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "But that doesn't mean that you have to call her hear."
"Must you be so conscious around this girl?" Gregory asked, eating an apple that he got from the throne room's table.
"He hasn't told you?" Eucraick asked the vampire, Gregory, shrugging his shoulders. They were all shortly and formally introduced a while ago and how odd it is that they can casually speak with each other without formalities.
"Apparently, not yet. This girl—she has a name?"
"Lilith," Amon answered, groaning as he returned his focus to Eucraick. "Again, why must she be here?"
"Well, I thought that you might be at least interested in seeing her again! She has grown—at least look and talk to the person whom you've saved."
"Woah, woah, woah..." Gregory took another bite of his apple and spoke in between chews. "So this girl... you saved her? Is she connected to the concern about that empty grave?"
King Blanc finally spoke, his curiosity now piqued.
"Grave?"
"Shut up." Amon snapped, glaring at Gregory through his mask. "You're making unwanted conversations arise."
"But—"
Before they can continue talking, however, the door of the throne room now opened, revealing two ladies.
One, however, completely surprised Amon and the others.
Lilith... she has really grown.
