Aerial Attack!

"I should have made an axe too. Would it help? But having more options was never bad, right?"

His attention was attracted by the heat of the fire and he decided to just throw the new Log variety but the Sand caved in and his leg fell in.

He used an Omni-view to zoom down to view what was happening. It was a quick Sand swallowing him fast.

Above the Island, there was a bird three times Elia's size, gazing down at him. It has been surveying him for a long time but it never got this close for various reasons!

But today it saw a strange transparent creature come out and feed on something and went back. Its instinct told it, eating that will allow it to break through in its evolution.

The Creative Bipedal Beast will just be a side meal but that thing was its main feast.

It screeched and flew up before diving down extremely fast. Its sight was fixated on the Dome above, and it knew that its beak could break it with ease.

As Elias focused his Omni-view down, the Island wrote, and that put him in a trance and didn't know how to fight the flying bird.

The Island wrote!

In that short moment, Elias influenced the Fog he trapped beneath the Sand and moved around the Island, but then he thought he might have not gotten the idea right.

He seeped the Fog beyond the Force-field Dome and moved it up to his limit to obscure the island from the aerial view of the coming bird. He raised the Wand to maintain influence over Fog.

Vooo!

A sound was heard coming closer. Elias' body wobbled, knowing this speed and strength might destroy his Island.

His Island Fog Influence is—Major—which gave him a rudimentary feeling if something external from the Island touched it. For that the moment he sensed something, he hastily sped up the Island to another direction from the centre and at that moment he felt something large brushing through the Fog.

The Island sped up in time dodging the flying creature. While Elias tried his best to make sure the Fog enveloped the face of the bird preventing it from seeing.

Boom!

It hit the water and a portion of the Fog dissolved in it and the rest stayed just above it, trying to feel if something would come up.

As for Elias and his Island, they were tumbling around due to the wave but they managed to stabilize all the while Elias didn't allow the Fog to break away from his influence.

At that moment, Elias wished that he obtained outward sight so that he could see things approaching the Island. Sadly, it was only an inward Omni-view.

But with the Fog, he was able to feel around.

Sensing that his influence over the Fog was loosening, Elias gritted his teeth and pulled it back to the Island and seeped it through the dome.

However, he strained his ears to hear something. Nothing, even after an hour, he heard nothing from the water.

No splashing in an attempt to come out of the water.

He sighed and used an Omni-view to see if there was more alert from the Island. Thankfully there wasn't.

Elias shook his head and brought out the Wand.

"I want my reward Blueprint Projectile Token!"

[Error]

[You can't see]

"Fuck you sideways. Why do I need to see to have my Blueprint?"

[You wouldn't see the Fog Roulette with Island Omniscience View]

[Only, eyesight can see it]

[Recover your eyesight to use it]

The more the word appeared in his mind the more Elias scowled. He has never beheld this blindness as a burden until now.

He clicked his tongue and threw away the Wand.

Then dragged the new Log and threw it into the fire. At least he may get more charcoal. Since his Foundry can only use charcoal.

After he rested from the tension, Elias zoomed in using Omni-view to view that the new Log… was not burning!

He grabbed the edge that wasn't on fire and he was shocked—not because it was cold, not also because it was very hot—but because it's soft to touch!

He gently pulled it and allowed it to cool down, then he took it and inspected it in depth. It was now—light and soft—as if he was touching a foam.

He grabbed his Saw and cut it, it went through so damned easily that he couldn't believe that this Wood was harder than his Saw steel before!

As he cut a 10cm chunk with a wary that a liquid may spray but nothing happened. With his Omni-view he viewed that the inside was soft and depressed with little pressure from his hand. But after he removed his hand the depression filled up back to normal.

Another thing was the cooler it got the harder it became. He waited for it until it was cold, still, it was soft to pressure.

He kept it inside one of the compartments to see if by tomorrow it will become hard again.

Elias cooked some food using a pot and ate. Well, it was just Abinci Grass with thoughts of Supperghetty.

And he lay down with a frown and trepidation of being attacked. However, he slept well for someone afraid of being attacked.

He grabbed the new Log, it was hard, but not as hard as before.

With little difficulty, he cut another 10cm chunk with a Saw. Then he put it close to the fire. It quickly absorbed heat and softened.

He then cut it vertically. Using the colour view he saw, the inside was milky brown, he licked it but his tongue was swollen shortly!

He has no choice but to rinse the water to reduce the effect.

"It's soft and pleasing to the eye, like bread." Elias' comment.

As he watched smoke come out from the soft inner halves an idea came to him, maybe it can be used as a mould.

He brought a Scraper that was catching dust and used it to peel the Wood soft flesh, shaping a crude spoon. But then he took his time to snip it well.

He already set the smelting for the day and the Iron has melted. Then he poured it inside the spoon-shaped mould.

Elias refused to have his hope raised as he watched everything go seamlessly.

Before he took his view off the Wood and take the Crucible back, the soft flesh was absorbing the heat and the spoon was solidifying already

He zoomed at it with a gaping mouth, but due to the distress from using the Omni-view for a prolonged time, he had to turn it off. But he ran to the Wand to see if it had his answer now.

[Casting Wood]

[Virgin one is harder than steel and Warm one softer. It can be used as a mould to cast metal! Its other uses are yet to be discovered]

"Interesting!" Elias was over the top.
