Black Trial!

In no time the people participating in the Black Trial organized themselves. Cooperation was one of the things that were instilled in them and with that, they were able to stand a chance.

George Thicket knew people didn't trust him, so he took the lead and faced the beasts to put forward an example.

Humans aren't idiots—certainly—not this group of deemed Guilty bunch by the Fog.

They use the crossbows and target the beast's cluster and shoot them. Others with more confidence in better precision collect bolts from those that have confidence in head-on confrontations and aim to take out the stronger beasts.

Thankfully, the beasts were in a frenzy, they didn't dodge but bulldozed through the rain of bolts. Still, beasts such as lions, tigers, elephants… large cats, in particular, shrugged off the attacks with minor puncture wounds.
