Is this really luck?

With all the guild stuff over, the cats and I went to the clothing shop first.

I bought some clothes, and some spare underwear.

I also bought some herbs and raw materials needed to craft certain items through my menu….

Cheap stuff.

'Might have to get a shower soon…' Because even I started to feel the stink in the air…

Next- 'Smithy.' But I had to sort this one out first.

I hadn't sold some specific things.

Namely, the drops I got while the cats had their fun hunting. I hadn't sold one of the Sahagin Carapace and spears either.

Then again, I had to buy some weapons of my own too.

So- yeah, a smithy it was.

I had no idea where a good smithy even was though.

This wouldn't have been a problem if a certain hot babe hadn't just left me out here, wandering on my own but such was life.

Anyway, "Excuse me, are there any good smithies around?"

There were plenty of soldiers just wandering around.

No wonder this town was so peaceful.

I could have always just asked typical passersby but I figured asking officials was a faster route.

"Good smithies huh?" he thought for a second. "There are three just behind that cathedral."

Almost all the soldiers were pig soldiers and few were demihumans or other demons. Actually, there weren't that many demons around these parts other than just the pigmen and Harpies.

"Okay, thank you."

With that said, I headed straight for the cathedral.

There were plenty of houses around these parts but most of them were large mansions. People at the heart of the city were really rich. It was kind of common sense though, so oh well.

As for the Cathedral?

Worn out.

A large, tall withering building.

It was barely hanging on.

'People here weren't that religious, huh?'

I wasn't that religious either. Though I did get saved by a freaking self-proclaimed god of death, so oh well.

Anyway, I didn't go into the cathedral but I did walk past it.

Or rather, stopped just in the side where there weren't that many people.

I did carry some of the stuff in my bags and back. But I hadn't touched three specific drop items.

Wait-

'Maybe I'll take the gamble and pull them out inside the shop…' After all, it'd better to do that in there rather than out here where who knew what sort of eyes were on me.

So, walking it was!

And just like the soldier had said, there were three smithies.

'The hell's going on here?'

"Welcome! We have great equipment, This way!"

"No, don't listen to him, come this way! We have the greatest stuff!"

"WE have good weapons and armor good sir, this way!"

The three smithies?

They were in some sort of deadlock amongst themselves.

Competing. Sometimes almost dragging the customers away-

The whole plaza was just filled with their shops and it was a dead end-

And- yeah, I didn't have time for all that.

So- I stared at all three, cold-shouldered anyone who tried to even remotely get close to me, and decided to go into the one who bragged the least. Aka, the third one.

Large store, two staff, and lots of weapons on display.

No customers. Given how aggressive the other two were, not surprising.

"So, I'd like to sell some things and-" I dropped the Sahagin spears on the table, my worn-out sword too. And finally pulled out three things from the bag. "Would like you to appraise these." I also put all the clothes and stuff straight in the bag too.

He was more surprised by the spear and tiara than the actual bag-

A spear. Kind of small. Maybe half an arm? The design was awfully dark and crimson though.

A Tiara. Also, kind of small, barely the size of a ring. Beautiful!

And some scales. Crimson scales. Thick!

All three were drop items- or so Rondo had claimed.

"A magic bag…" the owner kind of went quiet… "I'll bring the appraiser."

He brought out something which I only learned of recently.

A magnifying glass.

I could swear I heard Rondo 'heh' me…

Oh well.

The glass glowed and the middle-aged dog-faced owner kind of paled. "These are spears made by Sahagin Chiefs, this carapace is indeed high quality… and these scales are also quite rare. These two, however," He was sweating quite profusely. "I'll be frank, I don't think I can afford these two even if I sold my whole shop."

He was of course talking about the small spear and tiara.

At least he was honest… but- 'I got these through coincidence?'

Yeah, sure didn't seem like it.

"What are they even used for?"

The guy gave me odd looks. "This is a Chaos Spear. They say, only fairy generals are allowed to possess one. And this- this is the first time I'm seeing one, the Royal Tiara. Only a fairy princess should have something like this… to say they're rare, is an understatement."

Sigh. "I know that, I'm asking what are they good for?"

I already knew they came from butterflies. But I didn't know those butterflies were actually fairies… or maybe I did but I just forgot?

"They're the best quality equipment you can ever hope for! Though using them is really tricky. And might take you a while to master-"

This might get a bit tricky though. Clearly, those two fairies were very dead.

So-

Yeah.

Hopefully, the fairy country won't know about me and won't come running seeking revenge because the kitties ate them.

Ahem!

"Right, right. In order to use them, you need a deep sense of magic. Look," the smith touched the spear and both of them glowed.

The smith glowed in vibrant red while the spear in purple.

And in a matter of seconds, the spear just grew- it grew passed me, and became large.

Now that I looked a bit more carefully, damn thing had intricate patterns and the edge was really, really, really sharp.

"May I?" I said, taking the spear away from him.

It didn't shrink back, no.

Instead, I glowed in blue.

The spear? Same purple.

"Ah, water proficiency and rather strong too…." The smith said. "That's right, let your magic flow through the spear and you can will it to be any size."

"Any size?"

Even smaller?

I focused.

I didn't know what magic was. But I did know how it worked. I had to sit through hundreds of classes. So-

Smaller!

It became the size of a typical shortsword. "Wow, it works."

Claps! Applause! The two staff members were quite intrigued.

But can it get bigger though?

Clunk!

It grew… faster than I could even respond…

Well, it sure could, but the damn thing just grew taller and impaled the ceiling.

Oops.

Hopefully, it wasn't going to rain today.
