Let alone a king

"That's the city, my lord."

A city- a sleeping city just below the hill- on the banks… few guards, barely any security. Perfect- for attacking…

Ten thousand-

Ten thousand soldiers-

In the dead of the night.

They didn't have any light sources with them. The moons were bright enough.

"Signal the rats-" The man spoke- the commander of the army. Brilliant armor- a true noble…

The man behind him- the heavily armored knight signaled another man behind him and they blew a horn.

No sound came out.

No audible sound at least.

But-

"What now, my lord?"

The army was growing restless.

These woods scared the horses and often one or two were letting out shrieks.

At this rate, the enemy would surely find them faster than they could attack.

However-

"Burn… we watch it burn." Rage- rage seething out of his voice-

A good portion of his plans were drowned thanks to a mongrel.
