The leviathan let out a guttural roar, its molten body collapsing momentarily into a pool of lava. But before they could catch their breath, the magma surged upward again, reshaping itself into a more volatile and serpentine form, its obsidian spines now sharper and glowing faintly.

"This thing's not giving up," Sylus muttered, gripping his sword tightly.

"And neither are we," Athena replied, frost magic crackling at her fingertips.

The molten leviathan lashed out with its whip-like tail, the fiery appendage streaking through the air toward Athena. She backflipped onto a jagged outcrop of hardened lava, conjuring a frost barrier mid-motion that shattered upon impact, the force sending her sliding back.
