Sylus was the first to react to the new form's more violent tendencies. The Abyssal Titan's tentacles lashed down at him in a coordinated flurry, their jagged edges slicing through the water like living blades. Sylus, relying on his acute awareness of the battlefield, ducked and weaved through the attacks, his staff raised in a defensive position.
A tentacle came at him from the left, too fast for him to completely avoid. Sylus twisted his body, using the water's resistance to roll beneath the strike, the limb scraping just inches above his head. He pushed off the cavern floor, shooting upward like a fish caught in a current. Mid-flight, Sylus conjured an orb of compressed air, sending it rocketing at one of the massive tentacles. The orb exploded on impact, and the tentacle was knocked off-course, flailing erratically in the water, leaving a brief opening.
