Calle's vision only blurred for about a split second as the next moment his eyes had become clear again, the dark and empty void was already nowhere to be seen, replaced by a completely different scenery.
Looking around him, Calle noticed that he was currently inside a circular room that was only as big as his living room and kitchen combined together. The walls were completely made out of gray stone, and there were stone pillars that stuck out of the wall at certain intervals on the walls.
And although the room wasn't that wide in diameters, its height was completely something else as Calle couldn't even see where the stone walls ended. When he looked up directly on top of his head, Calle could only see darkness as the roof of the room.
Looking around him, Calle found out that there was nothing else in the whole room except for the four stone doors that existed in between the stone pillars. And other than Calle and the ordinary white egg in his left hand, he couldn't see anyone else inside the room.
'What am I supposed to do here?' As this thought appeared in his head, Calle suddenly heard the same mechanical voice that heard when he touched the huge stone door earlier.
[Welcome to the tower, new Dungeon Sovereign. I will be your guide in your journey to be the strongest existence in the whole universe.]
[You might be wondering what you should do right now since you've just been thrown inside the tower without any explanation. So let me be a nice guide and tell you the basics first.]
Calle silently nodded his head. It was his second time hearing the voice, so he wasn't surprised when it suddenly appeared inside his head.
'The words that it said were certainly friendly, but the cold mechanical tone made it eerie instead…' Calle thought when he heard the voice talking in his head.
[Now before we start, I notice that you have a familiar egg that is about to hatch. So, let's hatch it first!]
"How do I hatch it?" He asked loudly.
[You don't have to do anything, just sit back, put the egg on the ground in front of you and watch the creature inside slowly break out of the eggshells.]
Calle doubted that ordinary eggs would just hatch without being given special attention to the temperature of the environment the egg was put in or the place where he put the egg itself. And putting an egg on a cold hard stone ground was surely not a recommended procedure for anyone who wanted to hatch their own egg.
However, Calle didn't even know where he currently was and what kind of egg he was currently holding. He had confirmed that it was certainly not a chicken or a duck egg, but even crossing out the two birds from the lists of creatures that came out of an egg, there were still so many creatures left on the list that there's no way that Calle could have guessed what would come out of it.
Besides, guessing from the sudden turns of events where he met an unknown supreme being that could make him kneel just by seeing the person's face, Calle had already tried his best to send his common sense out of the window and didn't expect anything normal to come out of the egg.
So even if he doubted it, with his zero knowledge regarding the egg made him follow the only lead that he had and it was the voice in his head that had the cold and mechanical intonation, almost completely wasting the friendly tone of voice that it had.
Placing the oversized white egg in front of him, Calle sat right in front of the egg and observed the egg close with both of his eyes peeled wide open.
He wondered what kind of creatures would come out of it as he didn't expect any normal creatures would come out of the completely awesome ritual that he had never seen before.
'Wait, what if Gil was messing around with and it turns out that the egg was indeed not a chicken or a duck egg, but instead, it was a creature that both had the features of a chicken and a duck…'
Calle's mind wandered and a picture of a creature with a chicken head with a yellow long duck bill and maybe half of its wings will be the brown-colored chicken wing while the other wing would be the completely white duck wing, and the feet would also be split in half as one of the feet had sharp nails and the other had membrane to help it swim.
Just imagining the thing in his brain without even looking at the real thing had made him shiver as he couldn't imagine what kind of monstrosity would it look like in the future since Gilgamesh said that a familiar will follow him for life. But if the creature that was following him until the end of his life would be a creature that came straight from a horror film, then Calle thought that it wouldn't be that bad to make a mental preparation first.
Unfortunately for him, before he could take deep breaths to calm himself down, he suddenly saw the egg start to twitch and vibrate, moving left and right from its current spot.
Calle wanted to hold the egg in his hand as he was afraid that it would break itself if it moved everywhere like that on the cold hard ground, but after remembering that at the end of the day it would still be breaking the shell, Calle kept his hands to himself and just followed the egg wherever it decided to go.
The egg was apparently so full of life and vigor that it took Calle touring around the whole room by rolling its body sideways, and it didn't stop even after one lap, making Calle do a short workout session before finally, the egg hit one of the stone pillars in the room, causing one part of the eggshell to finally be broken.
Seeing a fragment of the eggshell separating itself from the smooth round egg, Calle quickly tried to take a peek inside to see what kind of creature had forced him to run around the whole room several times.
But before his eyes were able to peer inside the hole in the eggshell, a small foot came out of the opening on the egg.
Seeing that the leg was considerably small with sharp claws at the end of the foot, Calle quickly thought of one thing,
'Don't say that it was a mutated chicken with claws instead of nails on its feet…' Calle thought with his eyes peeled open, staring straight at the small white foot that had just freshly come out of the white shell.
