Drinking At The Emperor (1/2)

A jade patch of grass was bordered by fragrant hedges and flower bushes. A few, large trees stood in the center, their bark and branches rising like a pinnacle of the garden.

The flower beds were clearly in need of a bit of care, but they were hanging in there; they were full of hidden potential. The hedges and flower bushes reach 1m/3ft high, but this was about as tall as they would get. Various stepping stones marked the best spots, leading visitors to the best sites. The grass was starting to reclaim even all pieces of land, eager to expand their dominion.

The ash trees have stood there for years, and stand like eternal guardians, drawing all attention toward them. The flower beds had no hard time getting their share of the attention, and the hedges and flower bushes attracted attention too, but the attention was always drawn to the ash trees.
