Despite what most people would believe about her, Gem wasn't nearly as innocent as they believed. Sure, she was still a kid, barely even eight years old, but her experiences had forced her to grow up far beyond her years should allow. She knew that her family was on the run, that her Mom and Dad still looked at her with guilt in their eyes even as they did their best to hide the pain they were feeling from her.
