"What are these conditions?"
"Firstly, you will be a mother to my daughter. Secondly, this marriage will be built on trust, not love. You are not allowed to love another man or woman."

"Lastly, you can't divorce me. This marriage is forever and ever" his lips curved into a smile. It seemed he enjoyed tormenting her.

"What about…Uhm…sex? Are we going to stay from…"

"I never mentioned that, sweetheart. It is not part of the contract, because at the night we are husband and wife…we will teach each other, the wildest things in the world…"

Many ceremonies took place. The first and favorite that Priyanka took part in, with Karan was the mandvo or pithi prewedding ceremony, also known as the Haldi ceremony, which involves applying a turmeric paste to the couple. The color yellow of the Haldi paste signifies beauty, fertility, and purity, and it also wards off evil, thereby preparing the couple for life together and blessing them First, the turmeric was created into a paste and rubbed in different areas of their bodies by family members.

The next ceremony she enjoyed was the Mehendi ceremony, also known as the application of henna. Priyanka applied henna to her hands. Karan did not partake in this ceremony because it was a female thing. When they finish applying the henna, she waited for it to dry.

After it was dried, she washed her palm and saw the letter K, boldly written. Kamala told her that if the henna turns out to be very darker, it means her Marriage will be blessed with love.
