"Nooooo!!!" I watch the flames swallow the warehouse before me fast with my heart to my throat. I lurch forward to start looking for Mariano but strong hands hold my arms, stopping me from moving. From my periphery, the men run back to the warehouse without second thoughts and I'm horrified that I cannot move.
I've never been more horrified in my life until now that I'm helpless just watching my husband trapped in that building. It's as if my chest mimics how the fire is taking over the whole place. I don't know how long he's been in there and the men who are trying to get him out but it feels like a really long time, I don't think they'll make it.
"You can't go in there. It's too dangerous!" Carmelo shouts.
I spin around and shove him off me, but he might as well be made of stone. "You don't tell me what to do!" I yell, tears springing in my eyes as I desperately get him off me. I need to save Yan! What the fûck is he doing?
