Chapter 101 - Mariano (1)

I didn't think it would take me a whole day to look for a ring. I went to thirteen different stores—I know, that's a lot—but it wasn't easy to find one. However, in the end, it was all worth it because I found one that was perfect and readily available to purchase today. I couldn't wait another day to get it. I had to leave that store with the ring in my hand.

I'm going to do it tonight and I'm fucking nervous.

Earlier today, in between my store runs, I was on the phone with my sister for a bit and for some reason, she noticed I was acting differently. So I told her what I had planned tonight.

"Oh, my god, Mariano, that's so romantic!" she said. "I think she'll love it! Let me know when you did it so I can congratulate her."

I wasn't aiming for "romantic". I just wanted to do it. But now that Malia said that, I can't help but think if it's enough. I feel like it's not enough.
