The Barbarian

"This should be a perfect location" Emma murmured, staring at a small wooden shop at the edge of the busy road.

Without further ado, he entered the small and his eyes scrutinized the hook and cranny of the shops. He nodded and shouted.

"Who's here"

"What do you want?" An old woman emerges from the back.

The old woman had wrinkles spreading throughout her face, while short white hair swayed by the gentle breeze. Yet, her eyes contained a bubbling vitality of vigor.

"I would like to buy this shop" Emma went straight to the point.

For a couple of seconds, the old woman froze for a moment and stared at Emma. Her gaze move from top to bottom. After what seems like forever, she open her mouth slowly and said.

"I'm not selling."

Her voice contain unwavering determination, leaving room for negotiation. A light sigh escaped from Emma mouth. He didn't argue with the old woman and turn to leave the small shop.

Yet, he heard the voice of a woman.

"But I can lease it to you." She added.

The old woman looked at the small from one corner to another and her gaze dilated, filled with the vicissitude of life.

She shook her head and sighed. Looking at the plain empty shop awaken the memory of her life with her husband and children.

A light smile appeared on Emma's face. But the helmet made it difficult for the old woman to see his expression.

"How much"

The old woman shook her head. "I don't need money. Just make sure you maintain the shop without destroying anything."

She turned and leave the shop backyard. "I live here. But you need not worry. I rarely go out. The shop is yours."

Sighed. 'My first son would be at that age.' She grieved in her mind.

Emma looked at the departing silhouette and shook his head slightly. He could feel the deep sorrow in the woman eyes. Though, the woman tried to let go. She obviously couldn't.

He shook his head from the unnecessary thought and checked the shop.

'Hmm! This more than I expected.' He thought in glee.

The shop had two compartments. One for the main visitors while the others for private one. Also, at the backyard, there was enough of space for him to set up his black smiting tools.

Thought the shop was old, it was spotless.

After a couple of minutes, the old shop had turned into a different shop under various pile of weapon hanged on the wall. The weapon makes the temperature of the room dropped by some degrees.

In front of the old shop, Emma placed a gigantic name plate. Starlight Armament. He looked at the name plate and nodded. He clapped and looked at the quiet street with few people.

'I guess it will take some minute before the notice my shop.' He thought and entered the shop.

Since he had nothing to do, he began to study array formation. He lay back on the chair and the helmet displayed all the previous book scan book from the library.

Hmm!

It took him only a couple of seconds before he delved deeper into his study. When learning, Emma tends to forget about the flow of time. Subsequently, he would nod his head and sometimes sighed.

Meanwhile, a couple of meters from Emma's shop. A lady stood in a hidden corner at stared at the shop with a slight frown appearing on his face.

"This won't do. I need to do something." She muttered and her hideout.

Knock!

A loud yell woke Emma from his studying. He frowned and stood in annoyance. He left the inner room and came to the front room in annoyance.

"Why the hell would you shout like a barbarian."

"Of course, I'm a barbarian." A young man with a strong body with bulging muscle stood proudly at the entrance of the shop.

His long deadlock hair fell on his shoulder. Two horn protrudes from his forehead while a big hammer hanged on his waist.

>>Hahaha. Lily hysterical laugh echoed in Emma's brain.

'What the hell!' Emma exclaimed.

He took him a couple of minutes to recover from the initial shock. His previous anger deflated immediately.

"What do you want?" He asked with a tight lip.

"I heard you're selling a cheap weapon, so I'm here to check it out." The young man said casually.

"Be my guest." He left and sat at the corner of the shop.

The heavy footstep of the young man reverberated in the shop. The barbarian checked the weapon with a casual look. But when he saw the price tag. His mouth was ajar.

"Is this weapon really an uncommon grade?" He asked in doubt.

"Of course. What do you take Starlight for. If you don't have money to buy my exquisite weapon. I believe you have no money to begin with." Emma said in disdain.

"Besides, you won't ever find this type of weapon in this village. That I can assure you."

"Really?" The barbarian tilt his head and his deadlock hair dangled.

"Yes. The price it only for today. As from tomorrow, you won't get it at that price. Tsk!"

"This only your word. How would I believe it."

"You can test it anyhow you like." Emma said nonchalantly.

Hmm?

Seeing the nonchalant behavior of the owner. It piques the interest of the barbarian. He picked an intimidating gray hammer and swing a couple of times.

"This…!" He rolled his eyes and mouth was slightly ajar. 'Let me test it first.'

He withdrew his hammer from his waist and placed the new on the ground and prepared to smash them together.

"Wait.. Wait." Emma stood up quickly and stopped the barbarian from destroying his shop.

"What!"

"Do you want to destroy my shop? Tsk!" He shook and motion in him to follow.

At the backyard, the barbarian couldn't wait to smash the hammer together. His eyes were glowing while a menacing smile appeared on his face.

"Can I start now?" He couldn't stop the hitch coming from his hand.

"Yes —"

Bang!

A loud, piercing sound echoed in the backyard. Emma rolled his hand and looked at the stupid barbarian. 'Can't you let me finish my speech?'

"What!" The barbarian didn't care about a picked gray hammer and check it body for any sign of destruction.

"Look at your weapon?" Emma said casually.
