Coach is looking for you, Bella

★★★

"What is happening in our college? Why did they choose that creepy octopus?" Bella murmured and went on.

She didn't want to think about their conversation, but couldn't help but grumble, "He was hiding there to tell me the news. Why? Why did I feel like he was blaming me for that girl's condition?"

In no time, she got a call from Danny. "Where are you at?" Danny said.

"At Rachel. Come quickly," said Bella and hung up. However, she got another call right after Danny. It was from a number, but a very familiar one.

Bella let her mind run to find the person of the number while her phone kept ringing, but she had no clue.

Finally, she picked up the phone and brought it to her ear and heard a man's concerned voice, when he asked, "Where are you, Isabella? It's Tim."

Isabella panicked and licked her lips. How did she completely forget about Tim? She went on a date and disappeared in the middle of the date without informing him. She didn't even call him this morning.

"You're a nut, Bella?" Bella cursed herself before answering an impatient voice, "Good morning Tim. I am in college."

"Are you fine?" Tim asked. Bella was feeling guilty for last night. Although she couldn't be blamed entirely because someone dragged her out of the cafe, for that, she didn't get time to apologize to him. Tim was so careful with her. He didn't even call her desperate when she asked for a kiss.

"I'm sorry. I was in a hurry, got an important call and forgot to inform you. Trust me, I'm ashamed," Bella apologized sincerely, the least she could do.

"Stop. I understand. It was also my fault because I asked you out for a coffee, unexpectedly, without caring about your business. I am alright, Bella. When I didn't find you in the cafe I was stressed, and neither was your number work. Now I feel relieved," Bella heard Tim and felt worse.

"I know. Yesterday, I didn't know what happened to my number, not just you, everyone who tried to call me didn't make it. I am very sorry," Isabella told this single truth throughout their conversation.

"It's fine. We can meet another time. I feel relaxed hearing your voice and you are okay. Bye, take care. I need to go to the hospital," Tim said and waited for Bella to answer before hanging up the call.

"Take care, Tim. Another time, I will call you over for a coffee. Bye," Bella said and heard his laugh, which made her feel good. As the call was cut, Bella sighed loudly, looking at her phone. She messed up her first date.

As she entered the canteen, Bethany and Danny were sitting already in their usual spot and her steps moved on there.

"Hey, dude. What took you so long? You said you are in the canteen," Bethany asked.

"Tim called," Bella said and sat down.

"Yea... He called me this morning, but what happened to you last night? You ran away from your date seriously," Danny questioned while Bethany laughed out loud.

"Men scare her. Hahaha!" Bethany joked.

"It's like a bride runway from the wedding at the last minute," Bethany added another sentence, making the other two laugh with her.

"I didn't want to. Something happened abruptly, and I could not handle the situation," Isabella said with her head down, looking at the table. She was in whirling emotions and felt difficult to reveal everything to her friends.

"Can you make everything fast and clear, Bella? We are not your boyfriends. Why are you hesitating?" Danny impatiently said. She was under pressure since last night and now Bella was answering bit by bit and it was frustrating.

"I kissed Alexander," answered Bella after Danny's words fell.

Immediately Danny and Bethany came forward and asked in unison, "Who?"

"Alexander Luther," completed Bella and closed her eyes, resting her head back on the seat. Bethany and Danny looked at each other with a silent gaze and did not know what they would say.

"Why do you two suddenly go silent?" Bella grumbled. When a boy came to take their order. Usually, their group ordered food before sitting down in the canteen but today they didn't, so the guy who knew them well came forward and asked, "Girls, don't you want to eat?"

"Not now, bye." Bethany shooed the boy away as they didn't have the appetite to eat.

"You mean the president," Danny whispered as the boy left.

"Yes..ss," Bella stretched out her words and opened her eyes to see their expression. Certainly, they got a minor heart attack.

"Okay... How did that happen?" Danny asked surprisingly. They found difficulty thrusting the truth inside their brain that Bella just revealed.

"He teased me to the level I got angry and kissed him. After that, he dragged me out of the cafe and took me to his mansion," Bella said before placing her palm under her chin.

"What?" The two of them shouted, ignoring their surroundings. Their heads exploded. It was too much for them to accept.

Bethany immediately grabbed Bella's shoulder and asked, "Did you two have sex?"

In short, Danny and Bethany held their breath until they heard Bella say, "No. We didn't."

"Damn. When and how did this all start?" Danny asked calmly.

"He asked me to be with him, and..." Bella paused and thought about the thing that was bothering her to agree with him.

"That's Good. Why don't you agree?" Bethany suggested as she found no fault in not being with the person whom every living creature admired.

"He offered me a contract where I would give some rules if I agreed. One thing in particular that he made clear to me is that I can't be hung around him after a breakup. There will be no love between us, but we can be a partner," Bella clarified the situation by giving them apparent knowledge about this problem.

"What the fuck! Did he just want a sex partner? No, you're a sweet girl. You were born to be loved," said Danny quickly.

"Yeah, he is a scoundrel. He could have an infinite number of girls for this shit. How dare he offer that to you?" Bethany said sternly.

She could not believe that someone had asked Bella something when the girl did not know about relationships, about love. She could never hold herself back if they suddenly broke up, or the guy cheated on her?

"Yes, I didn't agree, don't worry," Bella smiled and said, watching her friend's seriousness. She knew they were angry, and so did she, when Alexander had offered her this.

"Stay away from that man. Such a devil, preying on our innocent Bella," Bethany cursed, and Bella smiled at her.

"Don't smile. I am so angry," Bethany said and truthfully she wanted to vent.

"Leave it, I don't care. But I have another question for you," Bella changed the topic to change her mood.

"What?" Danny questioned.

"Do you know where Mr. Xavier came from or his family?" Bella asked as she suspected the man. Every time they met, her belief became stronger.

"What's with him now?" Danny catechized, and Bethany waited for another oddity to be unearthed.

"I found Mr. Xavier is abnormal. He spoke very odd and uncomfortable words, but all felt cold and dangerous," Bella raised her doubt.

"We never talked with him. You tell me what feelings you're talking about," Bethany implored as she did not know what kind of abnormality Bella was speaking about because they never had a conversation with him.

"I feel like he is a psycho murderer and joined our college with a bad intention," Bella concluded, even her brows drawn together on reckoning.

"That's a huge thing you confided, but our college authority isn't a fool and I am sure that his data is stored in our college information," Danny said and took Bella's word lightly. Their college is one of the richest and most famous academies in the world. They wouldn't be that careless.

Suddenly, a group of players entered the canteen and shouted Bella's name.

"Isabella, the coach is asking you on the ground."

Bella's mood dropped immediately. She looked at them and shouted, "I won't come. Tell him I don't want to play."

"We are not WhatsApp, Bella. Tell everything by yourself," a boy said from that group. They were still with their jersey on which meant boys' practice just had finished. Now it was time for the girls.' And Bella did not want to face the playground.
