Silver World(4)

Unlike the Zombie World, the Silver World had no night. So every day is lit by the three suns and the heavens had no clouds to block the light.

Only a scorching heat was felt by everyone.

Fortunately, magic items were created to reduce heat like fans or air conditioners. These items were much stronger than those used with electrical power.

Liu Yang was staying at a cheap hotel, so there were no such things.

The interior was like being inside an oven. The heat was unbearable for an ordinary person.

Fire damage reduction passive skill lessens the heat sensation, but it was still high. Then he used the ice arrow and the water sphere to create cooler weather inside the room.

It was not possible to tell if it was day or night just by looking outside, special clocks were needed to tell the time.

(Aren't these guys going to show up?) Liu Yang wanted to see if the other side would show up to try and kill him, but it didn't.

Keeping his guard up, he lay down to get some rest.

Four hours later…

Liu Yang and the three returned to the mine.

Their shift was every four hours.

The excavation continued for a day and a half.

Every four hours, the group took turns walking through the tunnels until they left the mountain.

Those who were following Liu Yang watched this for an entire day to see what his routine would be like.

On the second day…

Liu Yang and the other three finished their excavation shift.

The walk to the surface seemed as casual as ever, but that wasn't exactly what happened.

BOOOOM!!!!! BOOOOOM!!!!!

tremble!!!! tremble!!!! tremble!!!!

Several violent explosions took place in various areas of the mountain and underground.

The roof of the tunnels begins to crack and collapse.

"RUN!!!!!!!"

"RUN!!!!!!"

"HELP ME!!!!!!"

Screams of despair echo through all the tunnels as the workers run for their lives.

BOOOOM!!!! BOOOOM!!!

More explosions happen and rocks block the tunnels.

Many died buried during the collapse.

Fortunately, not everything fell and there were still tunnels intact.

"CAN SOMEONE HELP ME???!!!! I HAVE A CRUSHED LEG!!!!"

"HELPPPP!!!!!!!"

Echoes of desperate screams spread.

"WHO MADE THIS??!!!! WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR USING EXPLOSIVES ON THE MOUNTAIN??!!!!!" Someone yelled angrily. He was one of the managers sent by the guild.

Such an attack would be no small thing.

So they think it was something done by rivals.

The real culprits even left the Silver World. They want to see if Liu Yang will come back alive or not.

Within minutes, the WE Commerce Chamber dispatched experienced digging hunters to the mountain. The objective was obvious.

The group needs to recover the excavated ores because it was of great wealth. As for workers, they are replaceable.

Liu Yang was walking through the tunnels while carrying two people on his shoulders and two more in his arms, behind him was a small group of injured people, but not as badly as the ones he was carrying.

The group was the survivors.

Many of them were badly injured, but they were still alive.

The more he walked, the more system sounds echoed in his mind.

The messages were that he completed some special missions and learned new skills by absorbing the energies of other dead awakened beings.

Inside the mountain and underground there were about fifteen hundred workers, at least three hundred died in the burial and more continue to die slowly under the rocks.

Liu Yang just wandered around aimlessly to absorb these energies and learn new skills or level them up.

As time passed, more and more people joined him to form a line. So the group got big, about forty people.

Some were even members of the Steel Guards Guild.

After an hour of walking, they stop to rest.

"You are a member of the WE Commerce Chamber, right? Do you have a map that can help us get out of here?" Someone asked a young man dressed in leather.

Everyone looks at him with a glint of hope.

Nobody wants to stay underground until they die.

"Yes. But according to our location, we are in the deepest areas of the mine. And I don't know which paths were blocked because of the explosions and cave-ins. There's still another problem, the Gem Bugs, these things haven't been fully defeated and are still pretty much hidden in the mountains and underground. If the explosion clears their way out of their nest, we're going to be in a lot of trouble." The young man did not even dare hide the information.

If something happened, everyone had to be prepared.

The worst were the swarms of insects.

"Can you show the map? I've been working here at the mine for over five years, so I know many paths, but without a map, it is still a difficult thing." Another commented.

Some of the workers in the group were veterans who had been at the mine for many years. They had walked all over the place, but none of them had a map. Just a mental map of where they went.

"This is the map I have. It's not very detailed because I'm not someone influential."
