Collin ended up being the one to take Elle to the airport because the Harkins didn't want to deal with the hassle of bringing the babies with them. They had already said their goodbyes the day before.
He wasn't ready. He wasn't ready at all but he had already helped her get her bags checked in because she couldn't take them all by herself as easily. She needed to go to the security checkpoint now that she only had her carry-on and Spicy's carrier.
She shifted her backpack strap nervously. "Well, I guess this is it. I'm really going."
"You'll do great," Collin told her even as he thought 'please don't leave me.' She would do great out there. He had full confidence in her.
Elle rushed forward and wrapped her arms around him tightly. "Thanks, Collin. For everything. I couldn't have done any of this without you. I'm so glad I met you."
