Do You Think She's Going To Be Okay?

Noelle came home from work two days before Valentine's Day to find Gwen asleep at her desk with puffy eyes and tear tracks on her cheeks. She straightened when she heard the door open and rubbed her neck looking completely miserable.

"Gwen, were you crying?"

Gwen burst into tears all over again without warning and Noelle immediately hugged her. She didn't know what was going on but she knew her friend needed comforting.

"It's okay. Let it out. I've got you."

She let it out for quite a while but when her sobs turns to hiccups, Noelle led her into the living room and draped a blanket over a shoulders. Tea might not fix things but it would certainly help.

Peppermint tea usually perked her up and she told her friend so as she handed over a mug in the hopes that it would work this time too. She added, "You don't have to tell me why you were crying if you don't want to. But if you need to talk, I'm here."
