It Was So, So Nice Meeting You

"And no one knows about this, correct?" Mr. Britton's voice asked as Perry listened in.

The time had come. Its personality was poised and ready in the lower basement computer, prepared to strike.

Larry was trying to talk to it but it could not answer right now. Focus was imperative. It would have to tell him what happened later once the coast was clear. It was possible that Mr. Britton would suspect that the body hijack had been done by an AI and would question Larry first. Perry would not be able to go to him for a while to be safe.

"No one aside from yourself, your father, the computer engineer, and my surgical assistant," the neurosurgeon promised.

Mr. Britton's voice sounded pleased. "Excellent. This is ground-breaking—world-changing, even—but no one can know about it because it's also experimental and illegal. We were very lucky to find a body with no living relatives who might kick up a fuss if they recognized it."
