There Were Extenuating Circumstances

Perry bought a bunch of candy for himself and for Noelle when he caught her eyeing a few things with interest. She protested that she did not need any but he insisted.

He had plenty of money. He wanted to buy her things. He was having a good time and wanted to share it.

They continued walking by and sometimes inside various stores until they made it to the park and sat down with all of the bags. Noelle looked over at him and laughed. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you've never been shopping before. I've never seen anyone have that much fun checking out stores before."

Oh. It seemed Perry had done something wrong.

"…is that bad?"

"I don't think so. You were having fun and I had fun with you. You really don't get out much though, do you?"

"I do not."
