Can I Do More For You?

Noelle hadn't meant to say so much but it wasn't like Perry didn't know all of those things about her already. She had said as much in scattered conversations back when they were only friends online.

That was why she was so baffled he liked her. There wasn't much to like. He had seen the worst sides of her on so many occasions and he was still here acting like a doting boyfriend without ever clarifying whether or not that was what he wanted.

Perry sighed and wrapped her in his arms. "Because you are Noelle. I do not know who told you all of that but they are wrong. Please believe me. I know you do not understand but you are so important to me. If nothing else, I need you to know that."

His tone was deadly serious. She had gotten the feeling she was important to him somehow after all this time or he wouldn't keep going out of his way to see her but hearing it made her heart beat erratically.
