"You are helping me out. This is a win-win," Perry pointed out. 

"True. Anyway, think about what I said about telling Noelle. It's for your own good."

Hunter clapped a hand on his shoulder and was about to walk him out when the front door opened. Gwen was holding shopping bags and looked very confused. "Hey, Perry. What are you doing here?"

"Casually enjoying a heart-to-heart chat," Hunter lied easily. "Perry's cool. We need to hang out more often, don't we?"

Perry nodded, grateful he was covering for him. "That would be fun."
