I Never Said That

Jacob slept for the better part of two days before he was released. Addison came to take him home and took care of him as promised until she had to go back to work, returning to his couch so she could be there if he needed anything in the middle of the night. Unlike before, she didn't come into his room unless he specifically called her. At least not that he noticed.

Even once she did have to go back to work, she continued staying with him both so she could check on him after her shift and so she could be there if he needed something in the middle of the night. She had to be exhausted but didn't make a single peep of complaint. 

He had follow-up appointments to deal with but also had physical therapy since some of his muscles had been cut. That was fairly miserable.
