What was worse than death itself? Well it was dying knowing that no one would miss you, knowing that your death was a favour to everyone you ever knew.

This was exactly how I felt the day I died.

Omega's Rebirth

Lord Mycroft raised a brow at Neveah's words, before he nodded once, not denying it.

"With the rumors on every lips that you are Our Liege's bonded, many Lords of the Great fortresses have held intentions to seek you out, and you clearly have not been willing to be a party to it... naturally, I took measures." Lord Mycroft also went straight to the point.

"Let us not pretend that you do not know what the truth is and what the rumors are, My Lord." Neveah replied directly.

"Do not get defensive, Lady Neveah. Your attempts to keep your bond to Our Liege hidden till his return is noble, but will only last for so long."

"There has been no official declaration or royal decree stating your bond to Our Liege before the breaking. But we dragons are not so easily blindsided, not me alone...but the truth is clear to us all. Especially when you carry a piece of him with you... I sense it, even now..." Lord Mycroft trailed off, also taking on a direct manner.
