"What do we have here?" Chase's breath hitched when he heard Isaac's evil voice.

The first thing he felt at this moment is fear then his intinct to protect Arrow and his baby at any cost which is why he did not hesitate, in fact he didn't even realize how he suddenly broke the hug and pulled the vampire to hide him behind his back, forgetting the fact that Arrow is a bulky, powerful supernatural creature.

This move made Arrow blink multiple times in surprise as he looked down at the doctor's hand that's still holding his forearm tightly then he slowly diverted his gaze to look at how Chase is protectively hiding him behind his back.

He could sense how scared and worried Chase is for him just by smelling his distress up close.

This made him feel strange because vampires are emotionaless creatures.
