To Mark, the most logical place to start would be with Rose. Except, he could already guess she wouldn't tell him anything if he asked. Been there and done that without any results. Even Rose's father whom he thought would side with him didn't believe what he tried to say.
His mentor sat quietly and watched as Mark sucked down each cup of tea put in front of him. The younger lawyer stared blankly ahead, sometimes his lips would move silently. At other times, he would squint slightly as though he stopped something suspicious on the wall before his expression would relax.
"Ehm Mark, are you sure that you're doing all right? You look a little stressed." Dobbs folded his hands on the table and gave the other a concerned look. Mark's attention snapped back from the present and onto the other.
