"This isn't the kind of thing for you to be going about crashing." Zane kept his tone level despite wanting to demand the other be thrown out.
"Why? Is there a problem if I come to see who this person my son is spending so much time with is?" Bernard chose to play along. Civil smile and polite tone.
"She seems to be quite a nice young lady." Zane held a hand up before Rose could say anything. His shook his head lightly as a way to tell her to hold her tongue. She wasn't obligated to speak to his father.
"While I appreciate what you're trying to do, there is a time and place for it. Right now isn't that time or place. It would be best if you left for the time being." Zane didn't even stand up from the table. He kept a level gaze fixed on Bernard to watch his expression.
