No Time For Love

Arabella's POV

"Arabella, sweetheart, you should get up now, you didn't eat your breakfast, and it is now lunchtime, yet you are still in bed. I am getting worried if you don't feel well; are you okay, my dear?" I heard my mother's soft voice. I didn't have enough sleep last night, and I had been awake as early as the rooster crows, but I felt too lazy to get up.

I still wanted to pretend I was sleeping, but I didn't want my mom to get worried about me. And when I opened my eyes, I found my mother sitting on the bed beside me, wearing her below-the-knees printed dress.

"I am okay, mom, I was just tired last night, and my feet hurt," I responded as I slowly sat on the bed and leaned my back on the headboard, and she was shocked when she saw the blisters on my feet.

"Oh, what happened to your feet?" She asked.
