Chapter 12
In the forest at the dead of night twigs snapping as a set of feet could be heard quickly limping in a hurry injured from what seemed to be from a struggle and now in an attempt of escaping from the same thing that is possibly trying to harm them.
"There is no point in hiding, Davina. I know every move you'll make and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change that. I will bring you back home wither you like it or not!" a male voice was heard calling out to his prey knowing her pretty well inside and out as he his feet were seen slowly walked behind her tracks unable to see his face. Davina limping a good several metres away with a ripped up shirt that was tainted in her own blood as her left hand was pressing in a opened wound on left side of her abdomen trying to make it stop, but that wasn't enough.
"Ack! This is bad. He's right on my tail?!" Davina thought to herself grunting and hissing in pain after every step she takes going on in circles to lose this bastard, but it was impossible as he seemed to know who she was more than anyone she knew unlike family and friends. However this guy was different way, way different than anyone Davina had ever met before forgetting who he was at first until now. Fear over came the poor girl as she tried to escape this threat with her life and whole body in tact wishing for her father to come and help her, but that now sounds more unlikely to happen by the fact that he was going to be out all until midnight. "If I keep this up I'll surely die! Damn it?! Where's that bastard when you need him!" She yelled in her mind wishing for some sort of hero to come in and save the day regretting never training when she so desperately needed it in order to take this guy out.
"Oh boy, I'm gonna enjoy breaking you like this. However father wants you alive and fully in tact so maybe I can break you personally later.." He said again this time he was closer seeing Davina in his sights seeing his dark ocean blue eyes glaring at her while smirking having the time of his life chasing down his supposed target he was ordered to bring in. "I wonder if you approve of this, Agolos?" He spoke up keeping eyes on Davina making it clear that he wasn't the only one out here hunting her making this more of a stalking and abducting than a classic hunt.
"You are just as predictable as always little brother, but no I don't approve of this you're being too harsh on her" Agolos said emerging in front of Davina as she bumped into him before looking up seeing his pale blue eyes identical to her were seen glaring down at her despite having no evil intentions of harming her as he too had extremely dark black hair despite being the same length as 17's. "Leave her to me, little brother. This is now a matter between two halves which you shall not intervene with" He instructed making the younger human looking cyborg scoff looking away as his long dark brown that was kept up in a pony flicked to the side hating it when he always ruins the fun in everything they do. Davina tried to back up until Agolos grabbed her right arm keeping her in his personal bubble tightening his grip in order to not lose the target he was ordered to retrieve alive.
"Just because you're twins and the eldest doesn't make you the boss of me!" The younger cyborg exclaimed hating it when he is given orders by someone who he thinks is lower than him, but really Agolos doesn't like to expose his true power without having a reason to do so.
"Why are you doing this? I don't even know who you are *looks behind at the annoyed cyborg* other than that selfish prick over there" Davina was nervous aware that this one was far different than the others unsure if he would do to her what that other cyborg did to her and maybe finish the job. Agolos just stood there looking down at her before glancing up at the one he calls little understanding that he can be a little excessive at times, but he knew him particularly well despite hating his guts.
"I agree that Ilon can be a bitch at times, but assure you the reason why you of many have been chosen to take part in a life changing revolution. However you won't be able to remember this brief confrontation as your mind will be wiped in order to obtain the greatness our creator deserves" Agolos exclaimed going too much in dept on what exactly will come of her after they successfully obtain the last puzzle needed to begin the first baby steps of Dr, Felix's revolution of the world.
"W-what? NO! I refuse to let you wipe my mind in order for your so called master's plan to work. He has you fooled if you think he'll actually remain loyal to you, he'll throw you away like scrap if you fail to meet his needs, just like he did to me all those years ago!" Davina replied trying to pull herself out of his intense grip, but nothing seemed to be working while Ilon walked up behind her and hit the side of neck that knocked Davina out cold giving the two only a limited of time to get back to base before she tends to bleed out all over Agolos.
"Father will be pleased with our achievement, brother. So next time don't get in my way or maybe I'll take you down as well, just like I did to the other rejects that failed to complete their tasks" Ilon said threatening his own brother despite not scaring him in anyway as only one will come out on top if they were to clash right here and now. Agolos showed no fear towards the younger cyborg before taking off back to base leaving him behind he didn't have the time to back chat or get cocky with his brother while one of their own is seriously bleeding out as Ilon watching from the surface below and scoffed again having nothing other than hatred flowing through his blood. "whatever.. imma blow some shit up" He mumbled before walking off minding his own business and cause mayhem in places where no one would stand a chance against him.
When the next day arrived no one was expecting something like this to happen especially to one of the most careful people in the group that Nova, Riaura, Zorion and Davina had made that now consists of 3 inhuman beings not aware of the missing member of their group as she commonly self isolates and keeps to herself on several occasions. Nova stood outside on the grass plain waiting for her cyborg hybrid friend to arrive despite being 30 minutes later than usual while Riaura stood behind the pair with crossed arms as she grew increasingly impatient tapping her index finger against the base of her arm by every second that passes. "She's probably forgot again" Zorion mentioned hoping to make Nova feel less self conscious triggering Riaura to push the male saiyan out of the way.
"Stop whimpering already! It's obvious that she isn't coming so why don't we just go and do some training already. You know how strict my dad can be and I do not want to disappoint him!" Riaura exclaimed growing impatient by the second as Nova knew she was right and sighed before bringing out her staff that now looks completely different from how it used to be, the base of the staff was now completely white while two rings were present changing from blue to a paler shade of yellow similar to a halo with its little glimmer of light it emitted while the orb in the middle changed colour too a beautiful pale light shade of pink. This staff was no longer Azura's angel looking staff it was now Nova's matching its new wielder in strength, durability and colour despite adding another ring forming a X around the orb.
"Are you ready, Zorion?" Nova asked as he walked over placing a hand on her shoulder while grumpy princess used her tail to wrap around Nova's arm as she tapped the staff that took them to a safe and isolated planet where Nova first met Neoma in her subconscious mind thanks to Vegeta that day or Xzander would've destroyed Earth if it wasn't for that lucky punch. "We're here and if it'll help I am going to summon some training buddies so don't hold back" Nova said as several random strong opponents were seen spawning across the dead planet allowing the staff to vanish out of sight still in Nova's possession in case someone decides to try and snatch the wand out of her hand. Training continued on for hours with no end when Goku out of nowhere instant transmission in front of Nova when who was going in for an attack startling not just him, but both when he arrived causing her to bump into him hitting heads as they slowly put a tiny amount of distance between then rubbing their heads with their hands revealing how painful it must've been hitting head-to-head without slowing down.
"Ow ow ow. That really hurt!" Goku said looking up at Nova who did the same slightly mad by the fact he came here without notifying her and when she is mad it isn't just pretty, but scary at the same time. "I'm so sorry!" He quickly apologized as his hands seemed to be reached out, but he was unsure if he should check if she's hurt or not let alone hug her.
"What the heck dad?! That really hurt you know! You can't just pop out of nowhere like that" She yelled as he quickly came over knowing that he had made a mistake despite it being an accident to appear in front of her live that as her tail spiked up not happy with this sudden interruption.
"I said I was sorry! But we haven't got the time for messing around Nova.. *face suddenly turns serious* Davina has gone missing and we need your help to find her" Goku said in a serious tone causing Nova to freeze in place unsure of what to do now knowing that her gut was right something was up and now she knows exactly what it is. "I know you're upset, but we haven't got a lot of time left.. we need to act fast!" He added as Zorion and Riaura appeared behind her unsure of what was happening even though the atmosphere Nova was making was becoming denser by the second.
"Nova, Goku.. What is happening? Why is Nova emitting such a huge amount of intense energy?" Riaura asked cautiously not wanting to approach her fried while in such a state unaware that Nova was growing increasingly angered by the makings of her own mistakes.
"SHUT UP?!" Nova exclaimed shocking all around her glancing away not wanting to make anyone feel like the victim and reason why she is so messed up. Goku acted quickly placing both hands on her shoulders before pulling her into a strong and yet loving embrace in an attempt to calm the now angered saiyan. "Release me, father! I need to find Davina before anything bad happens to her!" Nova yelled trying to push Goku away failing dramatically even though she was too late to act in order to save a friend.
"Davina.. Is missing?" Zorion mumbled before glancing at Riaura who too was shocked by the news unsure if getting involved would do anything, however when Zorion looked back at Nova he was met by Goku's serious expression pinned at him and him alone while struggling to contain his own daughter. "This isn't good Nova is losing control again.." He thought to himself knowing that if he doesn't do anything now then this planet as well as Earth is good as gone, so he took a second to think about his choices aware of the risks that were to happen if he was to step in or not. Goku now aware of Zorion who got the message pulls Nova's head closer inches from the side of his own no longer glancing at the male saiyan he currently trusts to make the right decision without any casualties.
"You're loosing control again, Nova.. stop this before its too late." Goku whispered begging her to calm down as Nova's eyes widened remembering the time she almost killed Riaura, the others and herself on countless occasions due to several mistakes that causes such dangerous outbursts to be released growing increasingly stronger as days pass by. "Please, Nova!.. I don't want them to lock you away again.." He said again and this time succeeding even though the flashbacks of her past coming through scaring the poor girl as she clenched tightly on his Gi shaking not wanting to be separated from her family again. Zorion sighed with relief when the situation cooled down making the intense life changing decision drop out of his hands.. for now.
"I.. I want to save her.. She doesn't deserve this, father" Nova muttered wanting to help the best as she can to ensure her friend's safety not matter how hard it'll get Nova felt the urge to save her friends a thing that no ordinary saiyan would do in this Universe or any unlike Universe 6.
"I know.. how about we go back home and expand our search for Davina, you need to eat and rest up if you want to have any hope of controlling your power" Goku said out of fatherly instinct knowing how it'll end if she doesn't stick to the plan until an opportunity is presented that will hopefully shine some light and help Nova contain this unlimited power she has been stuck with since birth. While on Earth searches for Davina was still on expanding their range by every mile they clear with no trace of her, but that was until they got to the forest a place no father should be let alone unaware by the fact that it was her last known location before being taken away for some sick scientists' plan to change the world for the 'better' that they're living in today.
"How certain do you think she'll be here?" 18 asked walking beside her brother on the half damp forest ground crunching leafs and branches that laid beneath their feet.
"She always comes here during free time and if she was in trouble I would've know about it by now" 17 replied looking calm and yet still unsure with himself of why he hadn't come to this place sooner than later if he was to have a better chance on finding Davina alive and well, but that wasn't the case anymore. The two were unaware of the several little blood splatters that led a trail nearby their feet just 2 feet away from them as the thought of her being in danger ceased to remain painted in their minds.
"Even if she wasn't here, what would we do then? It's very obvious that she isn't here or we would've seen her already let alone feel her Ki 17!" 18 yelled not getting any Ki signals at all what so ever while 17 kept the reality of things out of his mind refusing to let any of this get to him even though regretting to not train Davina personally passed through knowing that Nova could've provided her a better chance of gaining proper fighting experience.
"She is here.. We just have to keep looking" He replied as 18 stopped in her tracks refusing to continue further on this pointless search where there was obviously no traces of Davina in sight, however when things were getting bad it was about go from concerned to life threatening very quickly.
"Hey! I think I found something!" Krillin yelled from afar making the two rush over seeing that he had found Davina's phone and it appears to be broken cracked screen proving that something was seriously wrong and unlike her to leave this behind. 17 took the phone feeling the broken glass screen before feeling something wet touch his finger which seemed to still be wet and when he looked his heart sank seeing what looks to be blood making the android freeze in place staring at the tiny blob of blood that was seen smudged on his finger. "Blood? Does Davina even bleed?" Krillin asked still unsure of what she was as even tests didn't give anyone a clear conclusion of what she was made of let alone her DNA which proved that 17 was exactly her real father, but who was the mother of this oddly strange kid? Suddenly in a swift motion 17 stood up knowing his daughter more than anyone that she most definitely can bleed unsure that it was exactly hers.
"I need to find more.. I need to know if this is hers. If it is then whoever the unlucky bastard is that hurt my daughter will die by my hands and mine alone" 17 mumbled before looking off in desperate need of finding more blood to sample praying that it wasn't hers or things were going to drastically change for the worst if his fears become reality. Shocking both 18 and Krillin 17 ignored them as he endlessly scanned the floor int he direction he thinks the cowards could've gone and he was right in no less than 10 minutes he was able to find a little puddle of blood sitting undisturbed beneath him as he glanced down at it seeing its red colour looking fresh from last night. "First they break in and then they take my daughter! Who do these bastards think their dealing with?! She has done nothing wrong in this world and yet this crap happens, but there is no way I'm letting some low life freaks harm her just because she's different!" He thought clenching his fists growing increasingly more angered by the second as out of nowhere Nova swooped in with Goku who saw him standing there before glancing back up seeing them standing there concerned knowing that one of them was at least holding back their emotions more than the other.
"I was told to bring you these.." Nova said while reaching into her pocket pulling out what seemed to be a test tube from Bulma knowing by a gut feeling that they might find some samples of precious evidence that would need to be seen ASAP if they were to have a better chance on finding Davina. Even after collecting the blood later on through testing the worst had come the blood was with no doubt belonged to Davina revealing that she must be greatly wounded from fighting off her alleged attacker the news wasn't great especially for Nova who tried her best to keep it in, but even she wasn't able to contain such dread for so long and spent the rest of the day isolated from everyone else to have a better chance on find her missing best friend. Will Davina be found? Or will Dr, Felix finally have the perfect world he was so desperately eager to bring into reality?
