Chapter 36
As Earth and all life was restored by the Divine Dragon Balls thanks to Toreo life when back to how it was meant to be, but somehow Ebba was able to come back and take the Omni King's place on ruling the Multiverse as all beings knew that he was worthy on restoring peace across the cosmos alongside the Grand Priest, but Nova was sat in the living room endlessly thinking about her life choices while Zora played on the grass outside her parents house nearby West City really considering if she really wanted to continue being a God Of Destruction anymore as the duty she swore to do was already done and wanted to live a normal life on Earth and not watch everyone she cared die over and over again.
"What you day dreaming about?" Gohan came out of nowhere sitting down beside her seeing how focused she was and lost in thought which caught his curiosity when she suddenly turned to him not expecting the sudden surprise as he nervously smiled in response not meaning to startle her. "My bad haha.. but all jokes aside. You seem to be seriously thinking about something is it about Xeno or dad?" asking in a serious manner as she sighed not really wanting to explain as all they had went through would be better left behind and not spoken of ever again as Xzander is capable of being revived like his twin brother Ebba who to this day is going through endless training with the Grand Priest preparing for the day of his return. Nova scoffed to herself looking away from him visibly stressed having one too many choices and decisions she had to make if continuing to be Beerus' apprentice and the next proper destroyer of Universe 7 when the day he decides to leave and go to the other world along with his friends.
"I.. you won't understand what's going through my mind as it there are too many things going through that are endlessly mocking me and... IT TERRIFIES ME! I has been 8 months since Xzander was taken down, but.. but" she said in a panic while the shake in her voice alone was enough to tell that the past events had truly traumatized her mind for the worst and yet tries to keep everything together for the sake of her son Zora the pride and joy that keeps her sane. Gohan sighed understanding her pain as he too had once been in her shoes wanting to be there for his sister blood or not he will be there when she needs him the most.
"I know it's hard to forget about the past, but sometimes it is better than forcing yourself to reliving those thoughts over and over again as one day they might and most likely will consume you and make you into the thing that you hate more than anything in this world" he replied as she glanced back confused yet shocked despite one thing he had no clue about that did in fact involve a new friend and yet a worthy sparing partner who can go against her even in their base form while she was in one of her most dangerous states that most are advised to avoid. The room suddenly went silent as neither had anything else to say nor prepared to have this type of conversation despite how stressed the other sibling seemed to become due to the traumatic events they were lucky enough to overcome thanks to hardcore training and teamwork. ".. clearly you need some time alone to recollect your thoughts and while you're doing that for a couple of days I'll take care of Zora, i'm sure you need it since you're a God an all" he replied standing up as she just looked up at him then quickly glanced away to a random object to prevent eye contact somehow afraid to confront him about this or how this stress was affecting her both physically and mentally.
"Y.. yeah. I guess that sounds nice.." she quietly agreed as he walked off causing her to clench both hands tightly into a fist hating how even after being revived that the stress of being the weak one during the fight stayed with her somehow disgusted on how she let it happen despite being in a state no child was prepared for. "I'm so pathetic.. I bet he thinks i'm some useless thing now.. this is so embarrassing!" thinking and downgrading herself before randomly disappearing from the sofa in front of other brother's eyes who saw this angered side of knowing that something was terribly wrong with Nova causing him to find their father who was surprisingly not doing anything other than playing with his nephew Zora spending quality time together without a single care in the world.
"Dad!" Goten called out perking at our hero's attention as both he and Zora looked back at boy before he stopped interrupting their quality bonding time.
"Uh. What's the matter, Goten?" He asked currently puzzled before growing more interested when seeing his son's nervous expression knowing that something bad could've happened while he was away which wasn't that long ago since they decided to bond.
"It's about Nova. They were right, something is seriously up with her as has been rather.. stressed about something and I think whatever Gohan said had really riled her up even more and with her being a God I don't want anything bad to happen incase she has one of her hissy fits again" Goten replied not really understanding the situation other than the danger that could follow if she isn't calmed down which seemed to catch Goku's attention as he gently pushed Zora towards Goten.
"Take care of Zora until I return. Tell your mum that I'll be a little late as I have a angry Snowflake that needs to be cooled down" Goku replied entrusting Zora's life in his hands until he returned and yet preparing himself for the worst as Nova wasn't an easy cookie to crack on his own, but he knew that this must be done on his own as Vegeta would probably make things much more worse than it has to be. He still wonders what could be going through her mind that is making her act to feral?
While locking onto her location seeing where she was hiding he paused for the moment after using instant transmission standing on the beautiful grass of her little God planet she made distinctively from her KI just to hear what he could only describe as sobs as he pulled away his fingers from his forehead while slowly walking in the direction of these soft little sobs until he came behind a tree of many of tree that surrounded him as he peaked around seeing a very outset Nova who was in a ball while her tail was curled on the ground almost forming a circle around her making him grow sympathetic from seeing the kid he watched grow up cry what he could see was pain and a broken heart as she had went through a lot during the war against Xzander, as he carefully came round and sat down beside her as if she hadn't noticed him yet, but she didn't want to pay him any attention.
"Sooooo.. wanna talk about it? You know I'm up for a good rant especially when its yours, they're very interesting to listen to.. sometime" Goku said willingly wanting to give up some of time so she can empty what has been bottled within her for so long while slightly hurting as she hadn't told him like she usually does when in these types of moods.
"No!" She muffled into her legs covering her face even more with her arms as he smiled leaning against her ready to bug her into telling him what is going through that imaginative mind of hers.
"Come ooonnn~ If you do I'll buy you that digital sketch pad you've been constantly begging me for and maybe.. just maybe I can let you visit Planet Vular with me" using bribery as a way to get what he wanted out of her as she slowly lifted her head while wiping the tears from her face before only using her eyes to look at him not really sure to believe if what he is saying was true.
"How am I supposed to know if what you're saying is true? You could be lying to me" she replied showing signs that she wont fall for the same trick twice since he did do this once while she was in kinder garden, but now he should know she'll never fall for it not again even if it involves the things she likes the most.
"Well.. I and your brothers were able to put some money aside for it and I was thinking about popping in to check up on your people.. wait. I mean both of ours are there so no flirting with any boys. I know how you like your men.. or women, it's your choice really" he replied proving that his bribe was no trick as it caught her attention as she sighed giving up not really sure if she wanted to give up this big secret which wasn't very big, but for a God it is.
"Fine.. I'll tell you, but don't tell anyone not even Beerus either or he'll flip if he finds out" Nova replied confusing him a little not sure on how this could really be worth crying if it involves a God.
"Wow, it must be pretty serious if you don't want Beerus finding out. So what is it?" He asked now intrigued as she began to spill the beans shocking him on how she had changed her mind after consideration during the fight for the entire Multiverse. "He'll definitely flip if he finds out that you want to drop out on being a GOD! But what made you change your mind? Was it Xzander?.. it was probably his fault" He replied in shock before thinking of the reasons why she would change her mind as this position is classed as an honour if a God is interested with the skills you're pulling out of your pockets.
"No.. I just don't want to end up as my family and actually have a nice life to live up to with my son without having to worry about watching him and the others dying before me, other than you of course you're already old as it is, but I don't want to be immortal anymore it is a curse and I don't want it!" Nova replied which was a very good reason, but can a God live being mortal like the rest of the beings that thrive and repopulate the Multiverse and in its several separate Universes.
"So what I'm getting at is that you don't want to be a God anymore and be who you were before, right? *Nova nods* Well I guess Shenron can do something that as I too have a wish I have been thinking to ask for quite some time now, but I can't tell you what it is as it's a secret" Goku replied putting the pieces together while exposing that he too has a big wish he has been thinking to do that no one else other than himself knows about.
"But don't Bulma have them? I doubt she'll hand them to you that easily" Nova replied not believing that he'll get those balls without at least doing something big in return like maybe recollecting them that could take a year or a little less to collect depending where they're located.
"Trust me. I know what I'm doing so just sit back and watch a master at work" he replied confidently as if he knew exactly how he was going to get those dragon balls in order to get their own wishes granted before anything bad were to happen or interrupt either one of them as Nova would be making hers first before him incase that was the case willing to wait almost a year or to collect them again just to make his wish true.
When they got back to Earth and as expected he snuck and took them which wasn't that much surprising as they went to a different spot for a better chance of not being interrupted for at least a few good minutes. "She is going to kill you, not us just you, dad" Nova said making it clearly that she didn't want to get involved as both Bulma and Chi chi will be furious if they found out about this sneaky idea of theirs.. well it was mainly his idea in her head.
"What you mean? You agreed to do this didn't you? We are both going to be slaughtered when we get back since you'll no longer be immortal and thank the Gods that your brother has Zora or I'll be in even more trouble" he answered back slightly correcting her as she scratched the back of her neck not really wanting to be told off again especially by her mother for agreeing to do this idea of his. "Alright here we go. Come forth, Dragon of the Gods — Grant my wish, pretty peas! (can't find a proper text for it. sorry T--T)" He called out as everything became clouded and dark as thunder and lightning formed as a flash of yellow light came shooting out of the dragon balls, but before they knew it the all famous Shenron came forth looking down at them waiting patiently for their wish to be spoken so he shall grant them despite remaining calm while seeing Nova's God clothing seeing a splitting resemblance between her and Neoma. "Ladies first" Goku said allowing her to speak first as she stepped forward ready to say her distinctive wish.
"I wish to no longer be immortal, can you do that for me?" She kindly requested while looking up at him seeing how serious she was about this no longer wishing to be like the Gods.
"It shall be done" Shenron replied as nothing much seemed to change despite her loosing immortality no longer needing to worry about watching those she care dearly die on loop especially her own son. However she was quickly interrupted as her mum called causing her to look up her father seeing his nervous expression already knowing who was calling.
"H-hello.." Nova nervously answered preparing herself for the worst to come.
"Do you have any idea how worried I've been about you?! And is your father with you? I had just got a message from Bulma that he has stolen the dragon balls from her lab!" her yelling could be heard even when not on speaker causing Nova to hold the phone away from her ear already regretting answering while looking at her father as he moved his hands in a X and say that he wasn't there, but if she lied it could mean terrible things and if she doesn't then.. then.. I don't know what he'll do other than not talk to her for such betrayal. "Well?! is he there or not?" She questioned again applying more pressure onto the girl's shoulders on what decision she should make.
"Um.. no?" she quickly replied before quickly ending call and turning off her phone looking to the floor causing Goku to grab his hair in panic realising the mistake she had just make as he quickly looked around fearing for his life.
"Quickly go to your mother and hold her back until I'm done!" He said in a hurry as she instantly transmission back at home preparing for a mouthful and went inside already feeling some tension while sneaking inside before Chi chi turned around causing Nova to freeze in her tracks seeing no tracks of her husband in sight crossing her arms in a mad gesture incredibly unhappy in the way Nova acted over the phone.
"What do you have to say for yourself, missis?" She questioned as Nova quickly faced her body towards her mother who hadn't realised that her daughter was no longer a immortal being wanting to carry on her real parents wish on creating a immortal godly bloodline as it almost ended with Nova if it wasn't for her big brother Toreo and Aera.
"I.. I wasn't in the best of moods today and didn't mean to talk to you like that and I am very sorry!" Nova bowed in an apologetic manner which wasn't a lie as even the kindest of beings do have bad days too even if it doesn't result with bullying other than their own thoughts and past trauma experiences.
"*sighs*Just go to your room while I deal with your father whenever he gets back" She said kind of grounding a grown woman, but Nova took the chance and took off not wanting to be in any more trouble only dodging the bullet in this one.
When Goku got back he was and yet not prepared for the yelling he got from his wife, was able to quickly changed everything when telling her what he need the dragon balls for while secretly doing it for Vegeta as well which could get him killed for such a bold wish without the prince's consent beforehand.
"Yes! She is officially ours now and will even after death. I asked him to make her related to us and her brothers, but not change her appearance which may sound weird and yet I prefer her the way she is than looking more like me" He said explaining why he really needed the dragon balls so badly sounding like a very sweet wish, but it wasn't important other than kind of selfish and yet it was adorable.
"But don't you already see her as your daughter, why change it?" Chi chi questioned wanting a little more on the reason why he made such a wish while the flashbacks of the whole event that involved her blood parents went through and how different they were from the stories he was told by Whis.
"Her real mother hated Saiyans while her husband was a pure blooded one like me which was confusing at first, but even during our time training to take down Xzander he almost killed Nova while she had her back turned making me mad that a father would even dare to do that to his own blood, but I didn't want her to think that her life was resolved on following in their footsteps and from what she told me earlier really hurt seeing her beat herself down as she didn't want to be a destroyer anymore and wanted to live a normal life and raise her son here on Earth than watch him wither away and die, so I finally got the guts and made a wish so she can be free to do whatever she wants with Zora and finally be where she truly belongs.. with us" He replied causing his wife to tear up on those words finally even if she wasn't blood related on having a daughter of her own and a beautiful little grandson too making her day way more better than it was earlier.
"I wonder who her next boyfriend would be?" Chi chi said thinking of what her daughters future and possibly forever boyfriend would be even after knowing that Zorion had wronged her daughter in many way she believed that there is someone out there who will love Nova until the very end of time not even death will do them part.
As the next day rolled by Goku kept his promise and brought Nova to Planet Vular checking up on everyone looking just as it was before it everything was almost destroyed by Xzander and his goons, but where was Xeno as he was probably the main reason why she wanted to come back here with her now real father.
"Is Neoma still in control of this village or someone else took her spot since she couldn't be revived like the others?" Nova questioned as Goku shrugged his shoulders being extra cautious while his daughter was around other males single or not they were unworthy to be his son-in-law like Zorion.
"Well.. I don't really know for sure, but I hope they make this place far better when it comes to training or they'll be killed off again if not" He replied not really knowing who was in charge other than hoping that their new leader didn't have the intentions of starting huge wars that could damage the Multiverse like Xzander had done before and if so they should be dethroned before irreversible damage is dealt.
"Is Xeno here too?" Nova wondered talking to herself mentioning a male that Goku was half'n'half with unlike Zorion who he had to fake being nice just so he wanted his daughter to be happy and look where it got them, but it was for the best.
"You called, my lady. *Sees Goku while showing no fear within his cold glare* It's very nice to see you too, Goku. Anyway the place changed a lot since you were last here even though I'm not in charge as I declined the offer giving it to a good friend of mine a kind Saiyan with a burning desire to improve this place for the better and a worthy Alpha male as well" Xeno blabbered on holding a hand out gesturing them to follow him while Nova was in her very own dream world as he was wearing a black Gi with no undershirt revealing his juicy squishy pecks, black silky pants and obi that was tightly wrapped around his waist as well as black and red boots similar shape to Goku's and tight black fingerless gloves, while his hair and eyes remained the same spikey looking like a Saiyan and yet soft to the touch making him look like a whole course meal.
"What's this new leader's name and appearance? I bet he's supper strong!" Nova excitedly asked while Goku walked closely behind them watching as her tail swished at the end excited to see him while Xeno's was slowly move side to side trying to get close enough to her tail and touch it making Goku tempting to grab it and yank him away from her despite him too having a tail he's trying to control sometimes other than its sensitivity on being touched.
"Well for starters he's HUGE having long black spikey hair and beard, dark serious eyes, massive muscles and 6 wives.. 15 children.. that's far more of what I could have when I was second in command, but other than that everything else is good. I didn't have any children if you're asking as I wanted to find one perfect woman to make cubs with not 6, just one" he said while looking at her while walking through the village to meet this new leader and good old friend of Xeno's and Ebba's, but when they arrived at his known location talking to one of his many sons before the Alpha spotted them walking over greeting Nova with decent respect and kissed the top of her hand.
"It is an honour on finally meeting you, Nova. I am Zincuriar, I have heard promising things about you" introducing himself not seeing the mistake he has made while both Xeno and Goku had their hands clenched not liking this guy as he was slowly spreading his scent onto Nova which wasn't sending good flags.
"Uhm. Y-yeah.. I am aware" She nervously replied as he released her hand while Goku stepped forward as Zincuriar was unfazed by the hero's guts looking down at him not seeing the potential inside this Saiyan other than his daughter who he believes is still related to Ebba and Neoma.
"You must be her.. father. Welcome to my clan hope it is to your liking" Zincuriar replied in a disappointed tone before allowing them to go on and about in his village even with Xeno being there he wasn't afraid to fight against the Alpha of the pack.
"Make one move against my daughter while I'm away and I will personally desecrate you" Goku whispering threatening the Alpha without a care in the world, but Zincuriar remained unfazed by this threat and cracked a smirk seeing the hero as an easy target while Xeno stayed by her side hating this side of the Alpha when it comes to females as he always tend on taking the 'pretty' ones and by far Nova to some is the most unique star out of the entire Multiverse, its several constellations and endless amount of wondering stars and their solar systems.
"Anyway.. you guys want to join for some brunch? It's on me" Xeno suggested gently patting Nova's back while glancing at Goku acting all jolly and happy while around the Alpha getting Goku to follow him while carefully pulling Nova away by her wrist leaving her mind to slowly melt by the feeling of the warmth of his skin made her feminine hormones go crazy.
"Why am I acting like this?.. I hope dad doesn't find out about this" she thought unsure of what he would think if the feeling of attraction or yet sexual towards another male even during the feast everything in her body kept on going crazy when he was around even when her father was watching them she tried to keep it under control, but sometimes the imagination can drive one insane to the point of no control. Could he really be the one? Or yet better than the last one?
