Chapter 38

Ever since that night Nova and Xeno have agreed to keep things on the down low, but even with Goku still gone Chi-Chi has become worried as he hadn't come back for lunch while she slowly, but surely made her way to Nova's room, taking a nice long breath in before exhaling and knocked 3 distinctive times waiting patiently as footsteps could be heard steadily making their way over while the door knob gradually turned bit by bit until a satisfying click could be heard, it creaked open seeing Nova's eye pear through until finally opening it when realising that it was her mother and the concerned expression that was painted across her poor wife's face while both hands could be seen fiddling with one another as she continued to look around as if searching for someone.

"What's the matter, mum?" Nova asked allowing her to come inside shutting and locking the door behind them granting them privacy as Chi-Chi sat down on Nova's bed placing both hands on down on her lap. "You're acting very weird, and where is dad? I haven't seen him all day, it isn't like him to miss out on practice" this girl knew that something was up and how her father worked as for him to miss out on practice isn't like him at all, but the lats place they knew he was going was to resolve the problem with the new leader back on planet Vular and with his absence it seemed that it wasn't going as he intended.

"That's why I'm here. Has he got in touch with you today?" Chi-Chi asked as Nova looked at her puzzled since all she had ever done today was draw, train and 'hang out' with Xeno, but he could be doing some training of his own.

"No? He's still busy sorting things out with Zincuriar, he has told you about that, right?" Nova honestly replied seeing Chi-Chi's expression quickly change to rage shooting up from the bed at the point that steam almost came out from her ears.

"NO! You go and tell him to get his ass back home now?!" she was furious going absolutely red scaring Nova who gulped stepping back slightly intimidated not sure why she was being yelled at even though it was his decision to go off without telling the one he married until death did them part.

"Why are you yelling at me? He's not my man to control, he's your husband and my dad" Nova argued back slightly correcting her mother's mistake and hopefully get out of the situation Goku had put her in by mistake.

"And? I can't used instant whatever like you and your father can. For all we know he could be in danger! You're the only none human being I know and trust on safely bringing your father back home in one piece" Chi-Chi replied in a serious and honest tone as she used both of her hands and cupped both of Nova's cheeks tightly before pulling her closer causing their heads to touch skin to skin having an wholesome mother-daughter moment. "Just don't get yourself in anymore trouble.. I've already lost you once, I refuse to let it happen again" she warmly spoke as Nova's tail lowered below the level of her back unsure of how to keep a promise that was so easy to break, and if Goku was in trouble then it would be recommended to fight back if he was in a vulnerable position.

"I-I.. I'll try my best, mum. But if dad's really in trouble then I have to fight.. his life would be depending on me" Nova responded making it pretty clear that her intentions were straight forward, to got to planet Vular, get Goku and come straight back home. Chi-Chi sighed expecting such a response to come out of the now only blood daughter thanks to her husbands wish on making Nova now and forever officially apart of the Son family.

"I knew you would say that.. take Xeno too, he might make up for some extra support incase things go down hill" Chi-Chi suggested not wanting her to go all alone without the right protection as the thought of Nova being ganged up by perverted Saiyan like or other endangered species drooling played in her mind continuously, so why not bring an overprotective Alpha male like Xeno?

"You do know that if I bring Xeno they'll try and kill him, right? He can't take on an entire village filled with planet conquering warriors by himself, not even dad would be able to fight off against over 100 men and female soldier without the help of Vegeta and the others" Nova answered truthfully unless Goku were to use MUI against them, hope for an advantage and win, but not everything has to be dealt with violence. "For all we know, he could've dealt with them already or something was sorted out, but I could be asking for a miracle if it didn't involve me getting my hands dirty" she added not really in the mood for a fight even if it turned out that something bad did happen to her father during his little venture back to planet Vular without any friendly aid. Chi-Chi looked at Nova with pleading eyes as even if she did ask one of the others to help the news would've spread around like wild fire, and that would just escalate things which is one of the reasons why she is asking Nova to do this instead of her brothers or the help of Bulma's husband Vegeta. "Fine.. I'll get in contact with Xeno and find out what's happening while you keep an eye on Zora during my absence, I don't want him following me" putting her mother in charge of the grandson until she comes back from a little visit to planet Vular which to some would sound long depending on the distance, but really Nova could just use Instant Transmission to get there within minutes or possible seconds.

Xeno wasn't hard to track down as he was relaxing somewhere off in a nearby tree minding his own business not realising that Nova was just underneath him, standing there with both hands crossed glaring up at him waiting impatiently for the idiot, but her patience grew thin as she punched the tree not too hard only just enough to cause the entire thing to shake causing Xeno to slip from his branch leaving Nova as she stepped aside moving slightly right causing him to land on his back, winding him while groaning in aching pain before glancing up seeing her standing there with a serious look painted on her face showing no signs of remorse for the poor guy.

"H-hey, Sunshine. What's with the grump face?" He nervously asked while picking himself up from the ground as his tail slightly twitched with excitement upon seeing her as it had been a while. Nova lightly blushed hearing the cute little nickname he called unable to take it out of her head every time they come across each other, he always had something up his sleeve to make her crack a smile.

"S-shut up, idiot! I just need your help for a little rescue mission that's all" Nova embarrassedly replied as he stepped closer showing no signs of any hesitation causing her to step back as the back of her foot slipped causing her to fall, but within seconds Xeno quickly caught her just in time, his hand was placed behind the lower part of Nova's back.

"Gotcha! Heheh" Xeno cheekily announced with a wide grin on his face as he pulled her up purposely causing both of their chests to touch while their faces remained inches apart staring into one another's eyes romantically. "It has been awhile since I've ever got the chance to be this close to you, but the thought of cuddling you that night is still stuck in my head" he suddenly changed turning all lovely dovely as if her presence makes him go soft, but grows overly overprotective around mate stealing males especially those on planet Vular.

"... later, needy boy. However, my father might need our help as he hasn't come back ever since he decided to help clean the mess YOU made, and my mother is worried sick about him" Nova replied not wanting to go back to planet Vular with that weird wife stealing leader wondering about, but despite Xeno's betrayal he didn't seemed afraid about returning back. Unless it's because Nova is going there to maybe save her father? Or to even up the score?

"As long as I get to secretly sleep in your bed tonight, then it's a deal" his response got Nova feeling nervous as she sighed giving up making him feel very excited as his tail wagged like an excited little puppy. He softly kissed her right cheek before hugging getting one last smell of her scent knowing that it'll be a while until he gets to hold his secret mate close like this again once they check up on Goku and ensure that he is returned back home safe and sound. Xeno suddenly stopped and pulled himself himself away from Nova after a quick thought entered his mind. "Wait.. How are we going to find your dad when they're after me? You know that they can't see me or they'll make you choose between me and your father, but I doesn't matter as family matters more than anything. I am ready to face him and reclaim my honour before we go back to Earth" He explained putting Goku's life before his own ready to get revenge on the one that had originally chased him away from his post to begin with, but Xeno was beginning to have second thoughts on his future and if he should choose between the two things he prized more than anything, Nova and his own pride. What do you think he will pick?

Once they arrived on planet Vular Nova was able to help cover Xeno's tracks preventing his sent to be found by trackers or they'll be doomed. The pressure on trying to find Goku's signature or scent was hard for both of them as it was faint or hard to locate even if they wore ripped brown hooded cloaks to hide their identity while walking through Zincuriar's homeland and village making it impossible for anyone to find out that the enemy was walking on their land. Nova had to forcefully hide her tail inside her Gi or they'll be easily spotted let alone tying up that long white hair into a platted bun helping increase their chances on finding Goku to 50% or less if not enough info is grabbed about his possible whereabouts.

"Where do you think Zincuriar would keep prisoners like my dad? He is a very strong Saiyan who has full control over Autonomous Ultra Instinct unlike some people here who are completely unaware of its existence" Nova questioned glancing over at Xeno who kept his eyes glued forward for any possible suspicious eyes that might be watching them. However, that was most likely happening as they're wearing odd clothing let alone easy to spot out unlike the others that travel and live around these parts of the village.

"Well, your old father, Ebba before Goku became your biological dad created a sacred place, where one can trap any deity, mortal or creature by holy chains if threatened by their presence, but only one with angel blood or abilities like an angel can access that part of the island.. However, since Goku possess Autonomous Ultra Instinct then it could've been possible for Zincuriar to finally have access to Ebba's sacred space. OR I could be wrong as demons too could over the realm by tainting the pure blood with their own and gain full control of the sacred spot, but last time I remember Zincuriar doesn't possess neither angel or demon abilities. Unless he has found someone who does and if it's even possible, then we might have a problem" Xeno responded with a very interesting answer as she had never heard of such a place existing before, but if so then why is he telling her this now?

"Wait.. such a place existence here? Why didn't you tell be before?! My dad is going to go through the same pain as me if we don't go there and save him!" she quietly yelled as he has no clue what Nova was blabbering about, but he knew that if Goku stayed there for too long he might loose what's left of his insanity.

"But don't we need someone with angel or demon blood? We can't access that place without it" he seemed puzzled forgetting that Nova still has angel blood running through her veins as the only thing Goku changed with the wish was to make her his biological daughter, but keep her 70%Toura-jin/5%Saiyan/25%angel heritage or their hopes on saving him would be increasingly low without it. Nova stopped in her tracks looked at him confused and heavily offended as he came to a halt turning around seeing her standing there in the middle of the path, the aura she made him feel uneasy. "Why are you just standing there? We haven't got a lot of time left, come on!" he called out and yet she remained persistent no crossing her arms together even more serious than she was a few moments ago. Xeno grew tired of this speed walked over to her as he whispered "People are staring at us.. we need to go" his voice was serious until in a swift motion Nova grabbed his hood as well as his hair, yanking him closer to her while his winced in pain knowing that he had messed up big time.

"Don't you ever talk to me like that or we'll be having words, and secondly I have angel blood running through my veins, so take me to this sacred place you were blabbering on about before I begin to loose my patience" she lowly growled in a threatening matter as he slightly nodded in pain agreeing to show her the way. When she finally released his hair he was left surprised by Nova's sudden dominant behaviour putting him back into his rightful place while he walked silently beside her as they made their journey through the forest that surrounded the village.

When they arrived there was two huge doors that connected to a mountain, Xeno scanned the door before walking towards a potential way in.

"You have to slice your palm and put your hand in here, it's the only way we can get in" he explained as Nova made her way over to him seeing that it was a hand shape as it tilted down slightly with one tiny singular hole at the bottom where the blood is supposed to go down into and unlock this sacred passageway.

"You're lucky I love you.." Nova said as she pulled out a tiny dagger and sliced the centre of her palm and placed it into the hand shaped hole, they waited patiently for a few moments until a click was heard before the huge doors began to open granting them full access inside. "Have you ever been inside this place? I know you know about it, but what even is this place? It's like a heavenly sanctuary! There's no limit to how far this place can extend" Nova was shocked to see how surreal this sacred area seemed to be.

The scenery was heavily, it even had its own sun and moon. However, both Goku's and Zincuriar signatures could be sensed throughout the place, but it wasn't good as Goku's was dramatically declining by the second.

"This isn't good.. we can't take him without your dad" Xeno said as Nova glared at him hoping to god that he wasn't referring to Ebba. "I'm on about Goku.. not the new god of the entire multiverse" he added as she let him off with a wanting before randomly leaving him, she appeared in a flash in front of her father the one that stuck by her side ever since the very beginning.

"Oh! Isn't it the princess.. here to save your father I presume? Well, I'm sorry, but can't you see that us adults are talking" Zincuriar spoke calmly talking to Nova as if she was a child due to her tiny size compared to his huge muscular structure, but he was even bigger than Broly.

"I'm not a kid, Zincuriar. And my mum told me to collect my father and take him back home. He is missing out of the most important meal of the day. LUNCH! And I refuse to let you trap him in here like some sick maniac either!" Nova argued back as Zincuriar just rolled his eyes not fazed by her yelling as he glanced down at the tiny woman, while Goku remained collapsed on the ground behind her unresponsive.

"Psst! Please, you're nothing compared to your mother. She was a legend and you.. you're NOTHING" his response made her blood boil as she clenched both of her fists into a tight ball, while blood dripped from both palm due to her sharp nails that dig deep into her palm soft skin.

"I dare you to say that one more time, see where that'll get ya" she threatened not seeing Goku's head weakly lift up see a small puddle of blood that was beginning to form underneath her, the entirety of Nova's tail twitched violently as she growled at Zincuriar who silently glared down at her.

"Nova... you need to get out of here... it isn't safe" Goku weakly spoke wanting his daughter that this guy was one to not be messed with as his power seemed to be just as grand as Ebba's.

However, just before Zincuriar arm could move Xeno appeared in front of him with a very serious face that meant business.

"No one calls my mate nothing. Especially you Zincuriar" Xeno growled as his tail brushed against Nova's leg causing her to look down and back at him. "Nova, go help your father. I have some unfinished business with this rat" his order sounded demanding as she sighed rather annoyed, but she complied and quickly seen to her father, putting his arm over her shoulder while she placed a hand around his waist keeping him up right until a safer spot could be found and begin to heal him.

"Why are you listening to me?.. he is far stronger than than he says he is.. not even Untra Instinct stood a chance against him" Goku argued at her as she had avoided his warning about this guy, and soon Xeno will follow down the same path and end up possibly dead if he isn't stopped. "You need to stop Xeno and get out of here, he can't get out without me anyway" he added until she threw him to the ground making him groan and look up ready to yell, but froze when seeing how serious she was.

"You have no idea do you, father. I am stronger than both you and him combined, if Xeno can take me on. Then surely he can fight Zincuriar and settle the score" Nova snarled clearly annoyed that her other father would forget that she has the boosted power of an Angel.

"Geez, you scared me for a second then. But are you sure that Xeno can really fight against him now?" Goku questioned as she glanced off on the distance heard the loud clashes they made as Goku stood up beside her.

"If Zincuriar thinks about killing him, I'll finish the job and rip out his entire immune system with my bare hands!" Nova growled startling her father as he stumbled back feeling a tremendous power building up within her. A power he once saw when she was only a little baby.

"Alright. Let's just wait this one out and see how things go from there" Goku suggested not wanting Nova to get her turn in the fight just yet as she had a lot of things that need to be redeemed.

Xeno's PoV:

Zincuriar has gotten far stronger since the last time we fought, but so have I! This fight has only begun and I'm already using over half of my power, if I don't do something about it he'll surely kill me for sure. Nova is counting on me!

"What's the matter? Can't keep up~... good" he tone was becoming too cocky for my liking as he's only in his SSJ4 form while I'm stuck using SSGSS (Super Saiyan Blue), but every blow is getting stronger and the more I block the lower my chances are of coming out of this fight alive. "Come on. Is this all Ebba's best warrior has to offer? No wonder I was left to take over the village than you. Pathetic, just like your slutty mate" those words caused something within me to slowly loose the grip of my insanity, no talks back about my woman and gets away with it! 

I gritted my teeth and growled using every ounce of power I had for another attack, he saw me coming and deflected my attack sending me flying back into the place Goku was once laid as I took his place, not aware that Nova was watching me. 

"How are you this strong? it's impossible!" I yelled demanding to know the secret or at least the cheat he used to get this insanely strong in such a short amount of time. His laugh was maniacal and belittling before glanced down at me in an instant knowing that he was the victor in this fight, but I refuse to embarrass myself in front of my future wife and father-in-law. 

"It's pretty simple. I made a wish to become stronger than both you and Son Goku combined! A very useful wish if I do say so myself, and once I kill you, I'll kill that Saiyan and claim Nova as my last and final wife. She'll produce some mighty offspring once she's mine" His idea of using a wish than hard training sickened me proving that he isn't worthy to be a proud Saiyan warrior, nor to become Nova's mate once I die. I refuse to let that happen, over my dead body!

"Grrr! NO?! She isn't yours and never will be! OVER MY DEAD BODY?!" I roared as I jumped back up holding my hand around my upper arm badly injured and clearly not fit enough to continue with this fight, but I need to prove myself to her father that I am capable of being a worthy partner. However, that future seemed to be highly unlikely at this point if I don't find a way to count his next attack or I'll surely be sent to the afterlife. 

"I got to admit. You put up quite a decent fight. Besides from the last time we fought, you did get stronger. Even so I still have to kill you and take my prize, it was truly an honour fighting you, Xeno. Goodbye" his words struck me like bullets as my body refused to move on its own at the verge of collapsing, I went into base form while both of my eyes struggled to stay open fighting against unconsciousness. This can't really be the end for me, right? My life and treasured memories I had with Nova and friends rushed through my mind especially little Zora, I can't believe I might not be around to watch him grow into a strong, proud warrior just like his mother. And yet I could always be revived with the dragon balls, but would they really bring me back?

Zincuriar was about to launch a power punch that was aimed straight for my chest as I prepared for the worst, but something was different my heart began to race rapidly. Am I really scared of dying? Although I enjoyed life I feared death and what it might bring me heaven or straight to hell. 

"Prepare to die, Xeno!" He yelled announcing his intentions of killing me for all to hear, but I know Nova would avenge me in a heartbeat cause the bond we have is nothing what like the one she had with Zorion. It was compatible, strong and filled with love. I closed my eyes ready for the attack as it lunged towards me without any signs of stopping, but in those seconds I expected something painful and yet something wet splashed on my face and arm like water even though it felt more warm than cold.

"NO?!" Goku yelled as my eyes shot wide open not ready for what I was ready to see, my eyes widened as a aching pain began to build within my chest seeing Nova right in front of me with Zincuriar arm right through her chest as his hand was a few inches away from touching me. 

"That was unexpected, wasn't it? HAHAHA!" Zincuriar said before bursting in laughter as he removed his hand from Nova's chest leaving me to catch her body as it collapsed. My body was aching and yet it moved catching her just in the nick of time, but why? Why did you do this Nova? I'm supposed to die not you!

"Damn it.. Why are you like this? It was supposed to be me! ME?!" I yelled in saddened rage crying over her body as she still remained conscious, but barely hanging on and I can tell that it wont take long.

"Xeno.." Nova tried to speak as her voice was growing weaker and weaker by the moment as the more blood spilled from the open wound in her chest, seeing her like this only made me feel guilty for not being strong enough to prevent this.

"Shh, it's okay.. I'm here.. you're not alone, Love. I'll be here for as long as you need" I spoke trying to keep my voice straight, but the saddening feeling soon took over preventing me from speaking without trying to keep my cries from becoming known to Zincuriar. Her eye's slowly made their way up to me as if she had one more thing to say while I remained patiently waiting for what could possibly be her last words.

"Take.. care of.. Zora for me... I love... you" her breathing grew slow before coming to a stop as I her close not caring of any blood got onto my clothes, my lover had just died in my arms and I'm the one to blame... No... ZINCURIAR IS TO BLAME.

In a split second whatever sad feeling I had building within me mixed with a feeling I hadn't felt in years, I feel not like myself as I picked up Nova body and brought it over to Goku leaving him to care for her until I am done throwing out this piece of garbage. The pain I once was in had completely vanished and replaced it with power as I glared back at Zincuriar with only one intention in mind, but to kill him or beat him to the point of death and trap him here for all eternity. Yeah.. I'll do exactly that.

"Take care of her.. I'll be done with him in less than 10 minutes. And then we're going to collect the dragon balls to bring Nova back" my tone was serious as I kept my back turned at Goku not wanting him to intervene with a battle that no longer concerned him.

No one's PoV:

Xeno stood there staring at Zincuriar wondering if he should go all out or toy with him just like murderer did before taking the life of his now deceased mate. His maniacal laughter could be heard throughout the sacred realm as all it did was fuel Xeno with even more rage.

"Seeing you this serious has gotten me all worked up! I want to see your full power?!" Zincuriar yelled with a huge grin as if he had won, this made Xeno even more determined to humiliate this dishonourable warrior of his title as well for that stupid wish he made to become stronger. However, Xeno remained silent before vanishing from plain eye sight until appearing right behind Zincuriar causing to quickly turn around, but he disappeared again refusing to let his opponent have the upper hand and mess with him for a while. "Stop messing with me, you coward!" he demanded until out of nowhere Xeno appeared in front of him somehow in MUI and dealt a huge blow right in the gut seeing force from the fist's impact on the other side of his body.

"Get serious.. or I'm going to kill you" Xeno ordered in a seriously calm tone whilst in his MUI form which wasn't his top form, but he thought it was enough to scare Zincuriar and remind him that he was out classed, overpowered and dishonourable to his pride as well as his people of planet Vular. The fight soon turned grewsome as Xeno refused to let the opponent land an single hit not caring if Goku was watching or not, Nova deserved justice. "Take that as a warning and stay away from Nova and her home or I'll be forced to kill you.. that's if you're able to escape that is" he added before teleporting to Goku grabbing both him and put Nova over his shoulder as he took them straight to the doors they originally came through, locking it from the inside using Nova's blood as only her pure blood could unbind it. 

Xeno didn't want to risk anything and used planet Vular's dragon balls to resurrect Nova, taking them over a month to collect them as she soon was brought back to the living world save and completely unharmed. The two idiots hugged her in relief already missing her so much, but the others back on Earth had no clue where they were as only Chi-Chi knew where they were.

"How are you guys not dead yet? Zincuriar had you within his grasps" Nova asked as Goku glanced over at Xeno who grew red not really wanting to explain what happened incase she embarrasses him again in front of her father.

"I was at the verge of loosing it, but Xeno here completely destroyed him! Didn't ya, bud?" Goku replied gently nudging against Xeno's arm with his elbow along with a goofy smile, proud of how far he had came let alone almost telling him about their secret relationship. 

"This is embarrassing.." Xeno mumbled to himself even more redder than before looking away as soon as she glanced over at him with a rather smug look while raising an eyebrow on how lucky she had hit on being with his goof. However, for Goku he was going to be in a lot of trouble when he gets home, but as long as Nova's second death is kept a secret from his wife or he would've been in even more trouble than he is now.
