A Scheme Against Wren!

"Does this count as me having passed the test?"

Out of breath, Jude, with a pale face and a shaking body, turned around to give the men in white a look that said a lot.

The demon smiled at him in glee. "Yes, you have passed the exam."

[Participant Jude has earned 50 miracle points for acing the test of strength!]

The operator announced that the weakest Earthling had surpassed many strong Ogres and the members of his race by doing the only thing he could do to pass the test!

"Shit! I overdid it."

Because of over-exhausting himself, Jude's vision blurred, and he lost consciousness.

His body tilted in the worst direction possible.

Just like the Drum, he plunged to his death.

However, before he could meet a shitty end, someone snatched him away from the jaws of death in mid-air and safely landed on the ground with him in his arms.

Who else could it be if not Eugene V. Samuel?

He placed him down on the ground before sitting down next to him with his legs crossed.

It was finally Wren's turn to beat the drum.

"I will get this ordeal over within an instant."

After saying that, he nonchalantly took out his magic pistol, pointed it at the drum, and pulled the trigger.

Whoosh!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

A magic bullet blasted out of the gun and hit the drum, causing it to release four beasts.

"Tch, tch, tch!" Sebastian looked over at Wren in disappointment. "Is that all you got? If so, you must be the disappointment of your family. I guess the rumors about the youngest prince of the flying island are true. You're a failure that hasn't taken after your mother or your father. You lack your mother's strength and your father's adventurous spirit. You're a failure through and through."

Sebastian called him out and shamed him in front of many people, yet Wren kept a poker face and remained standing in his place.

"Who paid you to humiliate me? Was it my aunt or my second brother?" Wren calmly questioned Sebastian.

He was the youngest prince of the Sword Empire, the son of the Sword Emperor, and his mother was the most beloved wife of the Sword Emperor and also the current queen of the empire.

However, she was only one of the many wives of the Sword Emperor.

Many people in the royal palace and outside of it were eyeing the throne.

Every single one of the Sword Emperor's wives and their relatives wanted a child containing a part of their family's blood to sit on the throne after the sword emperor.

However, the sword emperor intended to do things the traditional way, which was to make every one of his children participate in the inheritance war, which would end without bloodshed.

The winner would become the crown prince.

Yet, many people wanted to make the competition easier for the prince and princess they were supporting before the inheritance war by taking out the possible competitors.

Thus, Wren was facing this scheme made by one such person.

"Heh, you're far more intelligent than you look. At least you've one redeeming quality. It's your second brother. He told me to take care of you on his behalf." Sebastian smiled at him and continued, "Your father is a sword user, and so are your siblings. But awkwardly enough, you're the only one who likes to use a gun. Your choice of weapon did perplex me in the beginning, but now I understand that you don't use a sword because you lack the strength to manifest and wield it. Maybe you don't have 'it'? If that's the case, you'll have to leave the empire with your mother."

If the Queen's only son were not to have 'It' and someone proved it, her opponents would gain a legal reason to kick her out of the palace along with her son and make it impossible for them to eye for the throne of the empire or participate in the inheritance war.

"You shouldn't have said that." Wren closed his eyes, sighed, and opened them again to look at Sebastian in the same way a person would look at a corpse. "You're right… about nothing. I use a gun because I can't cautiously take out my sword."

In an instant, the image of a desolate land with a sword protruding out of the ground and piercing the sky manifested behind Wren.

"Because when I do, this happens!"

Wren's Sword only appeared in this place for an instant before disappearing, but it was enough for him to use its strength to shred the nine drums into thousands of pieces and draw a red line across the neck of the men in white.

Sebastian's head detached from his body and fell down.

"I hope you can stop looking down on me even if it means refunding my second brother." Wren talked to Sebastian as if he was still alive even after chopping off his head. "The next time you start yapping at me, I won't stop until I gain the same title as 'Him' by killing you."

Sebastian grabbed his head, put it back on his shoulders, and reattached it to his neck without much effort.

"You're one scary kid." Sebastian touched his neck to make the scar that Wren had made on it vanish. "Since I value my life, I will regrettably go back on my deal with your brother and stop taunting you."

He no longer looked playful after getting taught a lesson by Wren.

"You made a good choice."

"This boy is a monster!"

Literally, everyone in the white room thought that Wren was ridiculously strong, including Sharbul and Eugene.

[Participant Wren has gained 40 miracle points for making the test of strength by making the drum release four beats with a single attack]

The operator announced his result, which was worse than Eugene and Jude's.

Wren, though, happily went away from the stage with a smile.
