TO THE HEADQUARTERS

In the morning, Alex drove Sakura to the Headquarters.

It was only the second time she was in the car. Sakura was thrilled.

Her eyes were outside the window until the very end.

"Alex, how does the picture move so fast? It's like TV!"

Upon hearing her comment, Alex smiled. "That's because the car moves fast so that we can reach my office quickly."

Sakura could only admire the transport she was in.

"This is awesome! The car is awesome! I want to drive the car like you!"

"I will teach you when I have time," Alex promised.

Soon, Sakura saw skyscrapers. "Big buildings! Why are there so many buildings?!"

"These are huge companies. Our company is here too. Let me show you." Alex pointed at the corner.

Sakura looked in the direction with great interest. "So big!!" she exclaimed.

"It has 253 floors. My office is at the top," Alex explained.

"I want to see!"

"I'll take you there."

Once they reached their destination, Alex unbuckled the safety belts and then opened the door for her.

Sakura came out and looked around. "So many cars…" she muttered.

"This is a garage. This is the place where cars are kept. I'll take you to the upper floor where my office is located. Come."

After explaining to her, he offered his hand.

Sakura happily took his hand. Whenever she held his strong, warm, large hand, she had a sense of security.

Using the private elevator, they went to the top floor.

The moment the elevator door opened, an empty corridor welcomed them.

The wall was covered with brown-colored plywood. Some large photos were framed and hung there. The floor was covered with a burgundy-colored carpet.

Alex walked forward, dragging Sakura with him.

The door at the end of the corridor opened automatically as soon as he came three meters close to the door.

Sakura jumped in shock. "Why did the door open on its own? Is this magic?"

"No, there is a sensor at the door. As long as it's me, it will open automatically," Alex explained. "It's nothing like magic you saw on TV."

"But isn't this better than magic? Magic cannot do things like this, can it?"

"You are right." Alex agreed with her idea.

As they entered his office, Sakura saw a spacious area.

The other side of the room was completely covered with windows. On a sunny day, there was no need for lights.

On the left side, there was a huge working table and chairs. A wooden bookshelf was attached to the wall behind the table. Some trophies, medals and books were kept there.

On the other side, there were some couches and a coffee table.

The middle of the room was empty. It could become a perfect playground for a child.

"Alex, is this the office you were talking about? Are you the only one who works here?"

As soon as Alex let her hand go, Sakura began to roam around the room.

He stared at her in silence. After a moment, he answered, "Yes, I work here alone."

He also wanted to say that it was the first time he had brought a woman here but kept quiet.

Sakura looked at him and asked, "Where are the others? Don't you have employees just like Mateo said?"

Alex gazed at the bright face and answered, "They are downstairs. Do you want to meet them?"

Sakura vigorously shook her head. She wasn't comfortable meeting new people yet.

Alex chuckled. "You can sit on the couch. I'll work over there." He pointed at the desk.

"Okay!" Sakura obediently sat on the couch and opened her bag. She took out her coloring book and pencils.

Alex turned on his computer and focused on his work.

When he was working, Sakura didn't bother him at all. Once in a while, she stole quick glances at him.

'What is he doing with such a serious face?' she wondered. 'He is so handsome no matter what face he makes.'

She giggled when she fantasized about working with him.

'It will be a dream come true. When can I work with him?'

While she was daydreaming, Alex's mobile vibrated. He answered the call.

"Alex speaking."

"Ara… Why do you sound so serious Alex? I didn't know we had that kind of relationship."

A sultry voice came from the other side of the phone.

A smile appeared on Alex's face. He relaxed.

"Since you are calling, I'm hoping you have something for me," he said.

"Of course I do. How could you give me two days to find the information? Do you think I'm that stupid?"

The caller was full of complaints but her tone was playful.

"I'm coming right away." Alex hung up the call.

He looked up and saw Sakura was drawing attentively. He strode forward and ruffled her head.

"I'm going downstairs for a while. Don't get out of the room unless I come back, okay?"

Sakura wanted to complain but his gentle voice softened her heart.

She nodded. She lifted her chin and inquired, "Will you be going for long?"

"Nope, I'll be here in fifteen minutes. Mateo packed you some chocolate cookies, right? Eat those when you feel hungry. Don't wait for me."

After instructing her what to do, he left.

He went to the 200th floor. It was the coolest floor in the building.

The temperature was so low that if someone entered the room wearing light clothes, they would shiver nonstop.

On this floor, there was only one worker who was human. Others were computers.

This floor was highly classified and only a few people could enter the room.

The moment Alex entered the room, he heard a voice.

"Welcome President Alex Silva. I've been waiting for your presence. Care to show me a sexy smile?"

Alex changed his expression. "Julie, it will be much better if you change the welcome tune. I'm getting sick of this robotic welcome."

"Alex, don't speak like that," the same familiar sultry voice spoke. "You are hurting my feelings. And also my Julia. Am I correct, Julia?"

Julia was the name of the computer with voice, Julie's personal Artificial Intelligence.

The robotic voice answered, "Yes, Your Highness."

Alex didn't bother with the AI anymore. He asked Julie, "So, what do you have for me?"
