A PROMISE

Sakura was standing there.

She came downstairs to have dinner. She didn't expect them to argue.

And the subject of their argument was none other than her.

She looked shocked as she stared at Mateo. Then, her eyes moved toward Alex.

Then, she lowered her head. Her lisp trembled as she opened her mouth.

"Mateo… It was me who wanted to stay with Alex. It's not his fault. Can you please not scold him? I swear I'm not a spy who came to ruin you. So please…"

Her voice was soft. When she talked, her voice quivered.

Mateo's heart moved. He suddenly felt guilty.

His frown deepened as he said, "I'm not scolding him or anything. Don't worry about it."

His voice was much softer than before.

"…Thank you," Sakura softly spoke.

Afterward, she bowed and then dashed to her room.

"Aww, man, you hurt her," Lucas regretfully remarked. "Our Sakura-chan is sad. She must be crying in her room now."
