Challenges

"Bzathmjor has agreed to unlock this Dungeon under two conditions," Yren explained.

"And what could a Demon want in exchange for his life, because it will be forfeit if he does that," Mira replied.

"The first and foremost is completing this Dungeon with Ginny and Kimora," Yren explained, and Mira recoiled like she had been slapped.

"You can't be serious?! Even if I say yes, I can't control what the others will think about this! We have been locked away for over two thousand years, and the others have been killed endlessly! What is this Demon up to?!" Mira exclaimed with exasperation.

Yren glanced over at Ginny, and she seemed to be taking this all very well. Clyde must have explained most of the important parts to her so she wouldn't be so shocked. Yren would have to thank him later for that.

"That leads to the second part of the deal. Mother, this is Ginny," Yren said, gesturing to Ginny.

"Oh? You are Rephilia's other daughter, right?" Mira asked, turning to face Ginny, and she nodded with a blush.

"Umm, yes! It is a pleasure to meet you!" Ginny rambled out while staring at the ground.

Mira smiled, but then turned back to her son.

"Alright, so what does she have to do with this?" Mira asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Well, there is also Kimora, Clyde's half-Demon Daughter who is outside the Dungeon right now," Yren explained, and Mira's eyes went large.

"What? What did we tell you about her?!" Mira exclaimed, and Yren crossed his arms, getting a serious look on his face.

"Neither one of us are a part of the strife between the Gods and Demons, but there is a chance that the three of us could be the solution. Think about it mother, what if we can convince everyone to give up this fighting?" Yren asked, but Mira sighed.

"There is no way that both Demons and Gods will agree to this! Look what they did, and if it weren't for you two trying, the fighting would continue on!" Mira declared.

"Then what's the point? Why would Kimora's father make himself an outcast? Why did you and father have me? Aren't you all working towards a solution in the best way that you can?" Yren argued, and Mira was left speechless.

"I know that I don't know much about things right now, but I think that Yren is right. Clyde is risking everything according to him, and the only way that he benefits is if we can make everyone work together," Ginny said, speaking up, and Yren nodded in agreement.

"Yes, and father knows about this as well," Yren said.

"Oh, I am sure that he put a lot of thought into his choice," Mira said tiredly, putting a hand to her forehead.

"Yeah, but I explained everything to him before dangling this fact so he understood what we were trying to do. I won't be bringing Kimora in here until she fully trusts me, so don't worry about that part. The biggest thing is going to be what you said, and I will have to talk with the monsters before bringing her in," Yren explained, and Mira nodded with a long sigh.

"Seems that I don't really have much of a choice. You are far too meticulous, but I am not sure who you get it from. I am careful, but you seem to always know what's next," Mira said with admiration as stared up at her son.

"You can definitely say that again, but I think it's because Yren has put in a lot of effort," Ginny mentioned, and Mira nodded at her.

"Yes, I can see that. I am very proud of my son, and he seems to have found someone very special. I can see that you care about him, and I hope that you can keep him out of trouble," Mira said with a gentle smile to Ginny.

Yren groaned as Ginny turned a violent shade of red at Mira's words.

"Alright, we can talk about this more when the time comes," Yren said, and Mira nodded, her body dispersing as she did.

"Yes, I will leave you to finish your explanation of the Dungeon. Good luck, and it was a pleasure to meet you, Ginny," Mira said as her body faded away.

"Your mother is very pretty, and polite," Ginny commented after Mira was gone.

"Yeah, that was my first time seeing her, but if I want to see her in person, we are going to have to get into the Dungeon," Yren said with a chuckle.

"Yes! So you were going to tell me about the monsters?" Ginny asked, and Yren nodded, getting his thoughts back in order.

"That's right. The first thing you will notice is that you can understand the monsters in this Dungeon. The first person we will meet is a girl named Mika, and she is a Were-rabbit. We are not going to be killing her. Instead, we will be doing some type of challenge with her," Yren explained.

"Challenge? I have never heard about anything like this before!" Ginny exclaimed in excitement.

"I felt the same way the first time I came here. I was pretty surprised, and still have a hard time wrapping my head around it all. I have studied monsters, but it feels like most of the stuff I learned wasn't right," Yren said in a frustrated voice, but Ginny came over and put his hand into hers.

"I think it's wonderful that we don't have to kill them! I am really happy that you were able to figure something like this out!" Ginny said with a big smile, making Yren blush slightly.

"Well, my father is the one that figured it all out, but we will still be killing monsters sometimes. The difference is that they will be mindless monsters that will have no other purpose other than to kill Adventurers seeking the treasures of the Dungeons," Yren explained, and Ginny let go of his hand, putting hers both together.

"I think that I will be fine, as long as you are with me," Ginny said with a smile and a slight blush.
