Giving In

"Why are you being so cryptic? You obviously know what the reason is," Yren said, crossing his arms, and his mother scowled at him.

"Don't cross your arms at me, young man! If I decide you need to figure it out on your own it is settled! Now, go out and help that girl with whatever you have her doing. She obviously needs more work than this one, and Mika and I will keep watch of her, understand?" Mira ordered her son, and he smiled.

"Yes, mother. I will trust that you have my best interests at heart. Love you, and I will see you in a bit," Yren said as he turned and headed back out of the Dungeon.

Mira watched him go, clutching her hands to her chest as warmth filled her like nothing she had ever felt before. Even the same loving words from Tybrus were nothing like hearing her son told her he loved her for the first time in his life.
