Yren slowed to a stop and turned around to look at Melissa, who had also stopped. Something he had said had upset her.
"Is there something wrong?" Yren asked, and Melissa looked away.
"We have to turn back to the way we were before?" Melissa asked shyly, fidgeting with her hands as she spoke.
"Oh? No, but you will have the choice to. You can still leave as you are," Yren explained, and Melissa breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Good," Melissa said, and Yren nodded, turning around to keep walking; they had just about reached the steps down.
"Do you mind if I ask why you are so adamant about staying in this form? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but it might help me understand others," Yren explained as he started down the stairs.
