Late-Night Snack

Yren reached the front gate of his house with a heavy heart.

Today had been one thing after another, and they seemed to worsen as the day went on. He was worried that this festival was just another thing that he hadn't thought enough about, but there was so much.

"Are you okay, Yren?" Kylie asked from beside me.

He hadn't realized that he had just stopped, and Yren scrubbed his hands over his face and slapped his cheeks. He really needed to get his act together.

"Yeah, sorry. It has just been a really long day, but let's get everyone in the backyard. I don't know who is all home besides my girls, so I really have no clue of the condition of my house," Yren chuckled, and Kylie gave him a strange look.

"You don't have hired help?" Kylie asked, and Yren laughed out loud as he led everyone around the side of the house.

"I do, but one of them had to head out of town for me, and the other I am marrying, so she is with my other two wives-to-be," Yren said.
