Episodes 139. Re-Up

The battle was slowly showing the end; Haran had fallen, and Sophia was cornered. All that remained was to crush them into dust.

Although they couldn't die, torturing them until they disintegrated was still inhumane.

Widodo hoped that neither of those slaves would remember the pain they were feeling right now! He prayed in this heavy gamble.

*Bang! *Bang! *Bang!

Seeing Haran had fallen, Widodo refocused on his target and shot repeatedly until she was unrecognizable.

"Widodo, what are you doing?!" Tasya asked tensely and in shock.

Widodo had anticipated their surprise at what he was doing, but he couldn't stop. He had to push Haran to the point of being K.O.

*Bang!

The final shot echoed, silencing the group of people who had just arrived at the battle scene.

They could only stand there, dumbfounded at the unexpected event. Meanwhile, the students could only turn their faces away from what they saw.

It was too harsh for them; their mental strength wasn't as strong as the adults. Seeing someone being shattered into pieces was something new for them.

.......

Meanwhile, in another part of the battle.

"Gyah!" Tesi continued to burn and slash the smooth skin of the girl.

He didn't care about humanity if it could bring the girl back to her senses.

*SLASH! *SLASH! *SLASH!

Up to the point where Sophia was cornered and Tesi's attacks started to tear her clothes, the girl could only remain silent and split into pieces without screaming.

Her body was split into several parts. The eyes that have no light slowly closed. Her consciousness gradually faded until she finally fainted and couldn't continue the fight.

Tesi stopped his rotation and extinguished the fire that had engulfed his entire body.

His body heaved as he looked sadly at the unfortunate girl.

"This is a one-sided battle, too easy to fight." Despite that, Tesi still felt this battle was just an obstacle.

"Rasyid only ordered them to hold off, so his orders weren't very effective. They fought clumsily, even too weakly."

What Tesi said to himself was how this fight would become a nightmare if the two women fought with their original consciousness. They(Widodo and Tesi) might not even be able to move.

While thinking about that, he noticed the girl's arm had turned black from burning. There were several fresh injection marks on her right arm.

Tesi walked closer and knelt beside her, examining the burnt arm. "These injection marks, is this the work of that old woman Widodo complained about? If I'm not mistaken, her name is Barbeth, right?"

Tesi couldn't see the marks clearly, but as a fighter, he could tell if an opponent was strong because of drugs or not. This also applied the other way around; a fighter could weaken if sabotaged by their foe before the match.

"No wonder they weakened..."

From how they reacted, it seemed the injection's effects only took hold when they arrived at this place.

*Tap! *Tap! *Tap!

Suddenly, hurried footsteps were heard approaching.

"A girl?"

Tesi could tell just from the steps.

"Hah?!" Moka, who had just arrived, immediately covered her mouth with both hands.

She held back her horror and tears simultaneously.

"What happened?"

"Calm down, I used regular weapons and fire magic. It's impossible for Anitya not to regenerate."

Despite the explanation, the shocked Moka still couldn't feel any relief. Her whole body trembled, and her legs couldn't support her weight.

I don't know how to talk to young women. Maybe if she were my wife's age, I could comfort her. Tesi could only sigh at his uselessness in dealing with young people.

.......

Back at Widodo's hiding place.

He was no longer alone. The newly arrived group approached him with angry faces full of questions.

"Can you explain why you did that?" Tasya tried to ask calmly, but being emotional, her voice sounded like a knife cutting slowly but painfully.

"Just a little bet..." Widodo smiled thinly without any guilt.

"A bet?!" They all exclaimed in surprise.

"Are you crazy?!" (Tasya)

"No, it's more of a 'try it out.'"

"What do you mean by 'try it out'?" Now it was Samuel's turn to ask.

Hearing the question, Widodo explained all his speculations about Sophia and Haran, who might be brought to their senses by making them K.O. without completely killing them.

They all responded with mixed reactions but couldn't deny that what Widodo did was useful if tried.

"Speaking of those two, where's Dahlia? I can't find her anywhere." Gita looked around but couldn't find her.

Widodo suddenly frowned after the kid asked that. He could only feel guilty for what he had done.

Even though this was just for the scenario he created, Widodo's guilt towards the two people who weren't his targets was quite significant. He can hold his feelings when faces Rasyid. But not with them.

"..."

"What the meaning of that silent?" Tasya shook Widodo's body, which was as still as a nail.

"I'm sorry, but it seems... SANGKUNI managed to kill her when they arrived here." Widodo took a breath while glancing to the left.

He didn't want to say he was the one who killed her. They might not believe his 'try it out' if he told the truth.

"Sang-Sangkuni?!" Stevent and Hakam broke into a cold sweat upon hearing the name. "Aren't they the most feared organization in the Nusantara?!"

"Yes, but fortunately, Rasyid managed to handle it. The leader of SANGKUNI is dead at his hands." Widodo made the most plausible excuse to make them believe.

By balancing his lie, he could make them easily believe his bullshit.

"Is that so?" They all became sad and were successfully deceived by the strange man's lies.

"Mr. Widodo..." Suddenly, Stevent put on a gloomy face while looking down. "How does Mr. Rasyid feel?"

"What do you mean by how he feels?"

"I mean, how does he feel knowing Dahlia is dead?"

Widodo was momentarily silent.

He couldn't say that Rasyid had no expression at all, not even sadness when the girl died. The man left feeling confused and not knowing how to express himself.

"He..."

Something distracted them as Widodo was about to tell another lie.

"Gyah! What happened to me?!" Haran rose from the grave and looked around with narrowed eyes full of confusion. "Where is this?! Why is everything white?!"

For some reason, the terrifying and notorious Haran now looked like someone who had given up on life after being rejected from a job for hundreds of times.

Elsewhere,

"Ah..." Sophia recovered from her burnt body. "What happened to me?"

She asked the people around her, but something was odd about the way she asked.

She asked in a Kuudere(Silent girl type) tone.
