Episodes 151. The Final Path the Fighters of Podoagung

Everything needed has been brought by those who walking back to school.

The group of teachers who fought the monster had left, carrying with them some bad memories. They all went home feeling empty and soulless.

At this moment, Samuel and the others were in Widodo's four-door pickup truck that had been left behind earlier. No one opened their mouth, and they only stared blankly around. The atmosphere in the small space was awkward and silent, with the sound of the moving car being the only thing audible.

"How are you feeling, Xander?" Samuel tried to break the ice.

He asked Xander, who was in shock after learning that his ex-girlfriend, Widya, had died and was further stunned to discover she was the SANGKUNI.

"Heh(sigh)... To be honest, pretty bad." The grieving prince responded sarcastically with a wry smile. "Knowing my ex was the most feared villain in the Nusantara and losing track of my fiancée... Saying I'm fine is just ridiculous."

Unfortunately, no one knew about Tyas's death, who died from becoming a dice(pasa'). Both Widodo and Tesi showed no signs of anxiety or nervousness, indicating they were unaware of the battle before Rasyid and Widya clashed.

"Cry as much as you need to; holding it in will only hurt you more," Samuel tried to be an understanding big brother.

His easy-going, smiling demeanor was gone, replaced with empathy. What had happened seemed to change his worldview. He now saw how dangerous the situation was.

Previously, he believed that as long as there was intent, peace and oppression could be resolved. But after witnessing these events and understanding the city's condition, he realized that insiders were crucial for making it all possible.

Shifting his gaze, Samuel looked at Tasya, who was staring at the mirror above the steering wheel. Her face showed that she had been holding back tears since the journey began. Her eyes kept glancing at the sacks containing lifeless bodies in the back of the truck.

They were all comrades of the short woman. Even if she didn't feel a strong bond or know them well, they were still teachers of Podoagung School. Seeing them all lying in those sacks made her unbearably sad.

"You better not keep looking at them..." Samuel whispered while patting the woman's small back.

Tasya was startled but didn't make a sound. She immediately relaxed her tense body and looked down at her own feet.

"I once told you why I became a teacher, right?" Tasya said, holding back tears.

"Oh, I remember clearly. It was your first day, but you were very active, introducing yourself and your goals." Samuel chuckled, reminiscing. "Quite different from the other teacher, who just stood there waiting like a robot."

"Back then, I told you how I wanted to protect everyone around me. I was naive, thinking I just needed to make the criminals feel extreme pain without fearing to kill them... Believing I could achieve something, maybe my family would see me as 'existent'."

Tasya's relationship with her family was still not good, but now she understood that if that wish was impossible, there was still one goal she could achieve: saving those she cared about. However, today's events seemed to take everything away from her.

"During the elemental monster incident at Teacher Test, I buried my first dream and pursued my second one. I wanted to protect all of you..." There was a long pause in her words as if she was taking a deep breath. "But, until I realized it, humans are still fragile, and my hope shattered because of it." Tasya clenched her clothes tightly.

The current events had hit her very hard. She could only accept her fate and let everything go.

Seeing her despair, Samuel looked at the mirror she had just looked at. He took a deep breath and tried to speak. "Tasya, you're not a failure... You're just late this time. Failure only comes when the person you want to save is truly gone."

"Huh?"

"As long as the person you truly prioritize to protect is still alive, don't say you've failed!"

With a slightly louder voice, Samuel held the woman's shoulders.

"Hehehe(laughing softly)... You're weird," she said, covering her laugh with her hand.

"We're all weird, idiot..." Samuel replied with his characteristic smile.

.......

Samuel's eyes shifted slightly after the light conversation with the short woman. Now he looked at the three students who were still confused and dazed by what had happened.

It didn't mean they were entirely blank, just that they couldn't believe it was all caused by their teacher.

Or only two of them?

Samuel began to suspect the strange boy again.

After lowering his guard towards him, his suspicion rose again after seeing the boy's condition now.

The way he showed a surprised face as if he had anticipated what would happen but didn't expect the consequences to be this severe.

"How are you three doing?" Samuel tried to draw their attention.

"Fi-fine... I guess." Moka answered unconvincingly, her eyes kept looking out the window.

Outside, there was not a single person to be seen, only houses and vast lands covered in snow like in a European country.

"Being separated from my master makes me a little anxious, but if I were to face such terrifying danger, I'd rather go," Hakam said sarcastically but filled with lies. "I don't want to die in such a foolish way."

His fear might seem cowardly, but what Hakam did was the best thing to do at the moment. Not only would he die, but if he did, he would leave his little sister at home, and who knows what fate would befall her once she found out her brother was gone.

However, that wasn't the true intention. He just didn't want Moka to be in danger. Especially after seeing her become an ice statue when trying to catch Sophia, who was about to fly away. He didn't want that to happen to Moka again.

"What about you, Gita?" Samuel asked the boy who had been silent as if frozen.

"Huh(surprised)... About my condition(smiling wryly), I don't know... Everything is beyond my expectations." Suddenly, his face darkened. "Do I have to handle this?"

"Huh?" (Samuel)

"Never mind, shouldn't you be watching the road? Who knows if there's something blocking it." Gita suddenly tried to divert attention, but his smirking face indicated he was hiding something.

"Heh, whatever..." Although very curious, Samuel would consider this their privacy.

He shouldn't interfere with their privacy.

Following what Gita said, Samuel looked back at the road as he wished.

His eyes focused, using his long-distance vision up to the end of the road they were traveling.

"What's that?"

His slanted eyes became even more narrowed.

"Do you see something, Samuel?" (Tesi)

"Like someone dragging a giant sack."

He was still not proficient in using pure magic, but he could clearly see someone walking in the opposite direction.

"Dragging a sack? Is there a protest by bringing Bahar as the hostage?" Widodo joked.

Samuel tried to confirm again...

His view became clearer as the car got closer. Finally, the silhouette became visible.

His eyes widened, and he grabbed Tesi and Widodo's shoulders in the front seats.

"Damn, it's the Student Council President and the Principal!"

"Huh?!" Everyone in the car was shocked.

Sstttt!

And in an instant, Widodo slammed the brakes, stopping the car.
