Senior POV
"I'll get the door," I groan, knowing who it is, but maybe I could get her to turn around and run, if I do something weird enough, or maybe my face would be enough, you never know, we didn't exactly leave on the best terms.
"Hey Kylie, wanna join me?" I offer.
"Sure, I wonder who she is," She winks, since she already assumed that persons gender, I assume she knew who was at the door way before anyone else knew.
She pushes her seat back and walks by my side to the door, which I briefly hesitate to open, she was rich, and when someone is rich, they can sleep late, meaning they have energy, at least that's how it around these parts these days. But I guess everybody has more energy than me these days...
That or their maturity is below the age 12, but whatever.
While I was having an internal dialogue about maturity levels, Kylie puts her hand on the doorknob and starts turning it.
I slap her hand away, then psych myself up, before slowly turn the doorknob, before I could open the door, The Ex pushes the door in, nearly slamming me into the wall, before I managed to gain control of the door.
Moving out of the way of Door-sama [the new Isekai object, make it happen] I look how my Ex aged, and she still looks as beautiful as ever, pale skin like she lived in the arctic, bright red hair which she swears she doesn't dye, a body of a model, but her dad doesn't want her to show it off, eyes that were a rich shade of violet, she definitely is using lenses last I checked, they normally are blue, and then to top it all off, the energy of a caffeinated 2 year old.
"I'm sorry for leaving you behind... Fenny..." She whispers, and in the corner of my eye, I could see Kylie widen her eyes and cover her mouth, and then acting like she's having a cough attack.
I glare at her but don't say anything, "Don't call me that anymore, we aren't together anymore, because you couldn't stay faithful with me."
She winces, "It was once-" She starts.
"Yes, it was once, that I caught you! You know that I like people who are independent, and are good with computers, and you were really good at both, so you could've done it 20 times, I would never know!" I say, my voice rising at a not-so-steady pace.
"I swear-"
"No, you don't understand, I don't take your word for two shits, so don't swear on your relatives, objects or whatever, I don't give a shit, it would be a dishonor to them," I say, feeling the kilns of rage deep inside me erupting.
"Come inside," Kylie shows her in, nudging me aside, "He hasn't been himself lately," She smiles.
"Who are you?!" Elizabeth, The Ex, exclaims, looking at Kylie like she's competition, which she surely is.
"Maybe you should introduce me, darling~" She says, kissing me on the cheek and giggling, much to Elizabeth's aggravation, maybe she does still care? Is she trying to mark me or something?
Doesn't matter! She ditched me for some fucking hunk or something!
"Elizabeth, meet Kylie. Kylie, meet Elizabeth, you may now shake the hand," I say in a mock clergyman voice like they were about to get married.
They shook each others hands but I could swear their eyes made it look like they were communicating something... girl language or something I guess...
They release their handshake and Elizabeth turns to me, "I'm sorry for what happened, would a kiss remedy this?" She asks.
Before I could firmly decline with the appropriate ferocity that is fitting for such an outrageous proposition, she grabs my cheeks in a firm hold and kisses me on the lips.
She tried to pull off a French Kiss, but that's was too far, I kept my mouth shut and pushed her away, "Look, you're going to have to be a nicer person before you get to kiss me like that," I say, using all the cold I got, nearly putting out the kilns of rage... nearly.
"Anyways, he's got another person whom he cares about, so please, don't try to take him away from me, since I'm hundreds of times better at covering things..." Kylie says, a creepy smile creeping onto her face.
Elizabeth snorts, "The only person who was better than me at what I do, hacking in case a slut like you doesn't know, is the man I just kissed, I've never met another person who could best me."
Kylie smirks, "I could beat him easily."
She raises her eyebrows, clearly sending the message, 'Then do it!'
"I'd rather not be embarrassed in front of anyone by my cute friend right here," I say, hugging her.
I know full well she could annihilate me with a blink of her eyes, ok maybe not, maybe a snap of her fingers.
And she just smiles, knowing full well that she could as well.
"Anyways, if we're done chatting here, I'm sure they want us back at The Gathering," I say, walking back to the table, not even checking if they're following me or now.
