"She's on my side."

"It's nice to be born with a silver spoon?" Jerrod repeated Larissa's statement with an upset tone.

It's not an offensive comment to hear because he really was born with an imaginary silver spoon in his mouth. That saying is usually uttered by people who are jealous and envious of his wealth, which he easily gained because of his parents. He could easily ignore those words, but hearing them coming from Larissa's mouth makes him feel affronted for being one.

It is not in his hands where and why he was born, but why did he feel like it became a burden being born with wealth? Being born with a prosperous, happy, and better-than-average life? There is nothing wrong with being born with a silver spoon, but he actually has the reason to make the maximum use of it. What is wrong would be not to make maximum use of the opportunities bestowed on him by chance or by purpose.
