Ghost in your Cabinet

Jerrod paced back and forth while waiting for Larissa to come out. He even put his ears to the door to see what was going on, but all he could hear was water flowing.

"Does testing take a lot of time?"

He doesn't want to pressure or distract Larissa, so he just patiently waits for her at the door. And since it was taking a while, he sat on the floor while leaning on the wall near the door.

Their room was so quiet that he could hear the sound of water and the pounding of the demolition happening outside.

The sound is kind of soothing, which makes his eyes heavy, and he ended up napping while sitting on the floor.

He flinched as soon as he realized he should not be napping now. He was about to get up when he felt something on top of his lap.

"Why is she sleeping with me here?"
