A protective side - II

The weather was generally cold today, and so was the man walking in front of her.

Because Joyce did not want to confront him within the grounds of the building, she purposely walked behind him. It would be a Newsworthy concept if she was walking behind an angry CEO.

But it did not last long enough. The moment Adrian realized that she was not in step with her, he slowed down his pace and before she knew it, she was in step with him as he walked outside.

Ahead of her, his cruiser was parked already with its door open by one of the bodyguards. Joyce directly went into its direction, but the moment she felt his hand over the small of her bag, dangerously close to her bum, she halted briefly.

If it had not been for his hand, pushing her likely, she would have stopped completely. His hand remained on her back until she was inside the car and within seconds, he was beside her from the other side.
