The winds of a storm -II

The amount of crying that she had done in one day may not have been done in the entire year. Her tears did not stop and it seemed like she had a non-stop supply of it.

Most of what she had said to her mother was apologies. Apologies for not holding a family together, apologies for almost succeeding in choosing the power of destruction and apologies for not pursuing her mother enough to take the treatment.

How many apologies had she delivered to her mother in a span of one year? That realization hit her because not once had she said to her mother 'I love you'. Not even a single one. Nada.

Nope, it was just I am sorry, I'm sorry and I am sorry.

It was pathetic. How come she never had anything to thank her mother for or to love her? Not even a single Miss You.

"Maybe, I should make a promise to you." Joyce stared at the gravestone, talking to it, contrary to her prior belief. "My promise is going to be, the next year, I come here, I will be chatting about my accomplishments."
