Dangerous waters - III

Gut instincts were something that were never to be ignored and right now it felt like she was walking into a trap.

The last time she had been in his office, which had been earlier today, she had come to a conclusion that Adrian could definitely choose what he wanted to think of when someone said something.

Just like he had chosen the fact that she was trying to protect someone and how he did not like it. He would just pick up what he wanted to hear and let the rest hang in the air but with a conversation she had had with Charles, it was apparent that she needed to complain to him.

If she wanted to present her case in front of him and has a slight chance of saving her father from a painful and terrible death, this was the only way she would probably be able to do it.

Her pace was unnaturally slow. Almost like she did not have the mind to go into his office, but had to do it. Gavin silently followed, not commenting about it. Thankfully.
