On the second round, Both of them had stopped asking each other questions. The sky started to darken which made them realise that another day had gone by and the day Adrian had to leave for Russia was coming closer.
"How many days until you go?" The question physically hurt to ask, but someone had to do it and it had to be her since she wanted to know the answer.
"Two more."
Joyce closed her eyes in silent agony. Just two more days with her husband? She would have been fined if she actually had a dedicated amount of time where she would be apart from her husband, but this was the most uncertain deadline she had received.
"Just two more." She repeated. "Would you be able to give me a period of time after which you would be back?"
In her mind, Joyce begged God on her knees that she would receive a positive answer from him. Something that she wanted to hear and not something that she feared.
